Honestly don’t everyone and their mother own a Nintendo DS system by now?! 
First, I don't see the utility in Patcher releasing numbers.
Does the market moves on NPD results?
Second, how is forecasting made harder by the Wii?
Forecasting the Wii is the easiest of all consoles because if you know the number of Wiis supplied by Nintendo for the US then its relatively easy to estimate point of sales figures when demand > supply.

i think his numbers are a little low for both PS3 and 360.
It's also possible that Pachter will be off in his predictions by as much as he has been over even just the last two months where he had:
Pachter Feb prediction:
Wii: 300k
PS3: 260k
360: 250k
Actual Feb NPD:
Wii: 432k
PS3: 280.8k
360: 254.6k

Wii: 700k

Sounds reasonable. Some people may have held off to buy a PS3 for GTA4. Even though Pachter's been wrong before, he's been the most accurate in the business.
I simply have a gut feeling that even though GTA4 will sell more on the 360, it'll push more consoles for the 360. Given how close the estimates are, it could go either way.

There's no consistent, public data for regions outside of US, so there's no point in predicting (read: guessing) for other regions. You can't verify that without paying a lot of money to e.g. GFK...

No offense Nesh, but you have have asked the same question in two previous NPD threads already and got an answer and certainly if you pay ANY attention to these numbers you should figure out that they are US only.

These are simply Pachters NPD predictions, and they've proven to be just as innacurate as any random joe's guess in the past.
Sorry, it's just teeing me off that I've seen these wild guesses from Pachter passed off as actual sales numbers at a couple forums.
