I took this two screenshot from my computer, they are both on very high settings DX9 which means that they are not "real" very high settings( they are a bit lower than very high settings) and I´m playing at a resolution of 1280x1024 so my screenshot are a bit downscaled because I use Photobucket to upload my screenshots.
NOTICE: that the textures are a bit blurry on longer distances because AF is disabled.

PeterNorths screenshot at "Very high":

My screenshots at Very high:

Enjoy:D

I've noticed this thread has a distinct lack of screenshots showing the interior of the alien ship, and decided to make myself useful for once.

And before anyone asks, they were taken at 2000 x 1500 with the game's hi-res screenshot generator with High settings.

And as a bonus, one picture from winter wonderland:

Just started to play Stalker again, this time I added the 'parallax occlusion mapping shader mod'. I think it was Galduta who posted the link to it some time ago in this or other Stalker thread.

Neverthless I also found a new cool graphics feature of the x-ray engine. By adding -sjitter to the Stalker run shortcut you get jittering on the shadows. This makes them look smoother and much better IMO as overall (Crysis has jittering for shadows to). Took some new ss showing it of asweel as the POM.

Hey anybody noticed how the shadows bend into the parallax/POM mapping (vanilla and modded game)? Looks sick (dunno how I missed that before)!

I also made some changes to my settings file. Adding indirect lighting but not at full setting which looks wonderful but requires to much. Yet it makes a greatly noticable change as I have it now. Still checking for a way to tone down r2_allow_r1_lights on additional light strength which is a bit to strong sometimes. Well runs good with these settings except for the beginning around the fire! ^^

Code:
r2_allow_r1_lights on
r2_gi on
r2_gi_clip 0.04
r2_gi_depth 5
r2_gi_photons 12
r2_gi_refl 0.6

Yes , this mod is this

Paralax oclusion mapping mod

http://stalker.filefront.com/file/Sk...HICS_Mod;82938

This mod introduces advanced shader technology known as Parallax Occlusion Mapping in the game of S.T.A.L.K.E.R, never seen in any videogame before (except some next-gen games which are still in development, e.g. Crysis , Unreal3 and others) The mod is based on the original Parallax Occlusion HLSL code (Policarpo2005, McGuire2005, Tatarchuk2006), heavily modified by Sky4CE to allow for a considerably higher performance and maximum optimization. You might have heard of Parallax Occlusion Mapping being referred to as Steep Parallax Mapping, Per-Pixel Displacement Mapping With Distance Function, Relief Mapping, Interval Mapping - all of those are alternative names for Parallax Occlusion Mapping. This technology creates a very close-to-life illusion of true relief , turning flat textures into something that looks much like an actual relief made of polygons. A similar effect can be achieved via Bump Mapping or Parallax Mapping, but the difference between Parallax Occlusion Mapping and these two is utterly astonishing.

And thanks !! for the "jittering " for the shortcut. Maybe I reinstall the game

Bought the full game and it is as the demo very addictive and fun. The textures are higher res now but there are still some maps with average texture detail and some that look plain ugly.
I changed some settings on my version to have shadows rendered farther out. Also 2048*2048 res for shadows and sharper edges shadow edges (less blurring).

Just wanted to pop in and say thankyou to the mods. The constant screenshot-spam in the other threads for these games was becoming... tiresome.

Gold star! A seperate consolidated thread is a good idea. I'd considered offering up this suggestion in the past, but rabid fanbois tend to respond negatively, assuming you're just saying "Take your screenshots and piss off!".

Nebula... Did you know that the Cinematic Mod is up to v6 now? Mr. Crybaby decided he's wipe his nose and release another version.
