Max Payne movie taking steps forward, Mark Wahlberg to star

According to Inquirer, who are quoting Variety for their news, Mark Wahlberg, known from titles like The Departed and Shooter, will be starring the name role.

Speaking of game movies I found BloodRayne 2 on the net i was going to watch it, but strangely the plot synopsis changed my mind

"The old west will never be the same again when Pat Garret, BloodRayne and the Brimstone posse ride into Deliverance for one hell of a showdown against Billy the Kid and his evil army of vampire cowboys. A tale of how the West was won."

I actually liked BloodRayne for all the, err, blood Really not all that bad as people make it.

But what should be a plot of a MP movie? Can't imagine anything good there.

Forget Max Payne! They should hire James Ivory and do a movie on "Lords and Ladies"!
What an awesome movie that would make....
