I like the "dance with angels" theme. not a song but a line that's repeated several times.

I love the immersion into HUGE battles

I like the cut-scenes

I like the explosions

I love the missile trails, tracers, AA fire, etc

I like the size of the formations

I love the colors

I hope the framerate is 60 when the game ships in late October.

Compared to the demo, the ground looks much better closer up now, though the poor quality vid may be hiding its flaws. The smoke effects look just as awesome. I can't wait to play the final game, the demo was very fun!
 
Great trailer. I guess fighters and flat textures of the city could be a little better but very impressive overall.

I especially liked the smoke trails, good use of edram bw I assume.

Nice to see some different games time to time.

No FSAA?

Shame there isn't a flight stick out for the 360 - I didn't really get on that well with using the normal controller in the demo.

Hori has announced a flight stick controller, which will be bundled with a limited edition of the game. What I really want to know is if this stick will be available in Europe... Or at the very least if an imported one will work with the EU version of the game.

Sorry about that. It was accidentally announced at Atari's Go Play event. It was clearly a slip though, or a 'mistake', as later this part of the news on the french site jeuxfrance was removed:

"Update of the 11/09/2007: Following the request of the editor, the part of the text of the news as that of the video of Ace Combat 6 (where our representative from Atari stated a version PS3), has been just removed."

So I guess for now let's stick with that no official confirmation is out there, especially since this is very likely a timed exclusive for the 360 so Microsoft wouldn't appreciate such news. Back when the Go Play event happened though, this got stuck in my head as a confirmation anyway.

I'll do my homework next time.

all very interesting, but that doesn't give the slightest indication about AC6 coming to PS3. it's probably not.

however, more likely than not, the next Ace Combat game will probably be multi-platform.
