But I agree with Yerli. JC was my idol for a long time, but lately, he seems to have lost it somehow, the magic that he could produce...
Take the latest demo for example, Tech5, the damn thing looks dated probably 2 years before release!
This is bad. Very BAD.
On the other hand, I'm don't care much about high resolutions, my monitor is still a 17"
So as long as there are no games out there that will MAKE me buy a new card, I can wait, probably even for R650 or NV's counterpart...
Well what would be a positive surprise to you? 20% performance advantage six months later? Come on! It just HAS to be around 50%. I never said 50-100% though. I said less than a 100 and probably around 50! :D
So let's start decoding Geo's messages...
Overall performance less then a 100% increase over 8800...
But it could very well be around 50%...
So in other words, it's all pretty much positive isn't it? :D
P.S. I just can't decode the damn bandwidth statement!
It is not only annoying, but also confusing. Does that mean that the OEM version will be faster than the one you'd like to buy and install yourself? That's just plain wrong.
I might have a solution to your problem now. If you've set your Vista to automatic updates, there is an update for GeForce drivers (at least for my 7800GTX, don't know about yours). Undo this update, or roll back the driver and there you have it. Solved my problem.
I've read somewhere that Vista Ultimate Extras are now available, like Hold 'em Up Poker, and Bit Drive Locker whatever.
I can see the Bit Drive in the updates, but not the Poker...what's going on?
The new NV drivers are annoying to say the least. Why did they decide to remove the icon in the system tray? I used to just right click on it and choose clone>tv + monitor and that was it.
Now I have to go to the control panel, then to nVidia panel, then tv and blablabla.
Nothing to do...
I have now tried everything possible. :D
The photo gallery can also play videos, but not music. You can tag videos there, and you can search them using tags within the gallery. The problem is you cannot search your videos using tags from the explorer or my computer, only for photos.
Music...
I know you can search, I know you can save your search and I know that it's dynamic.
But please tell me how to tag an mp3 or avi file, or a folder for that matter.
