And what did you do to make it run at 60 fps, whereas all the other versions were locked at 30 fps?

You do realize that digitalfoundry.net wants money for those video downloads, do you? ... "Strange issues" that you can not even put into words, gotcha! VP9 YouTube working fine here on an i7-6700K. Maybe you should have watched the video that was linked with the post, then you would have...

1080p HDR image better than 4k non HDR ?

Probably. And that suc**. But UHD Blu-ray Discs mostly feature film/video content and not pixel-perfect RGB content like games do.

@grandmaster : Why are you using the old H.264 format for your 4K download videos on digitalfoundry.net? H.264 is not efficient for 4K. Why don't you use the much more efficient open VP9 format which is already being used by YouTube and considered by Netflix? Here's a recent video on VP9 vs...

1080p HDR image better than 4k non HDR ?

LOL, heise.de was told by AMD that PS4 Pro is outputting at YCbCr 4:2:2 only when enabling HDR at 4K: https://translate.google.com/translate?sl=de&tl=en&js=y&prev=_t&ie=UTF-8&u=https://www.heise.de/newsticker/meldung/AMD-Radeon-RX-400-HDR-Gaming-ueber-HDMI-nur-mit-8-statt-10-Bit-3488970.html...

Image Quality and Framebuffer Speculations for WIP/alpha/beta/E3 games *Read the first post*

Rise of the Tomb Raider also supports SMAA on the PC, which, just like as in every other game, looks way better than FXAA. WTF? The trees in the PC version of Crysis 1 certainly do not have less detail than those and even with AA turned completely off Crysis 1 does not shimmer like that.

Image Quality and Framebuffer Speculations for WIP/alpha/beta/E3 games *Read the first post*

Well, that sh** is probably by design or whatever... Unreal Engine 4 has an incredibly bad image quality IMHO. If you have a PC, you might want to have a look at Unreal Tournament 4. The image quality in Unreal Tournament 4 is unbelieveably bad. With FXAA it's already absolutely horrible...

What kind of anti aliasing is that in the the Gears of War 4 Multiplayer Beta: http://www.gamersyde.com/news_our_videos_of_gears_of_war_4_beta-17767_en.html ? Seems to look better than that super ugly and mega blurry "Temporal AA" from other Unreal Engine 4 titles like Unreal Tournament 4 for...

No, probably not, since there are other scenes which show the same difference in resolution. Here is another striking example, this time from the scene where Noctis is carrying the easel (or whatever it is): Screenshot from 9 Mbps extended trailer: Screenshot from 25 Mbps standard trailer...

Image Quality and Framebuffer Speculations for WIP/alpha/beta/E3 games *Read the first post*

Well, had another look at the 9 Mbps extended trailer, might be some kind of compression / interlacing artifact indeed, since even the Square Enix logo at the beginning of the video as well as the Final Fantasy XV logo at the end of the video have those typical sawtooth interlaced jaggies to...

Image Quality and Framebuffer Speculations for WIP/alpha/beta/E3 games *Read the first post*

Please note that the "old" 9 Mbps image actually is from the new extended trailer and the "new" 25 Mbps image actually is from the old standard trailer. If the 9 Mbps image is 960x540, then it can not come from some interlacing artifact, since interlacing would mean 1920x540 and not 960x540, right?

Somehow I doubt that. Interlacing a progressive source actually does not reduce it's resolution AFAIK. 1080p24 movies being broadcast at 1080i60 actually is called 1080psf24 ("psf" stands for "progressive segmented frames"). And 1080i60 containing 1080p24 (A.K.A. 1080psf24) can be deinterlaced...
