HBO producing A Song of Ice and Fire

Same for Nook. :( I think it's contractual to the publishers, Amazon et al. have a price floor they are not allowed to go under.

The problems and irritations with finding a new job...

What law is this you refer to? Not do it. Is it really that hard to comprehend? If your Cabinet and Queen tell you to people randomly, you would do it? These statements are pure nonsense. We here in B3D land could easily be considered a group and yet our very participation in this...

The problems and irritations with finding a new job...

What? That's not at all what I said. You don't even have the brains to remember what you wrote. "...the whole of the US...". You CLEARLY were painting the ENTIRE country with an already BIZARRE portrait of what you concocted in some odd fantasy. You're the one that needs to grow (up)...

The problems and irritations with finding a new job...

I don't know what Bush Jr. quote you're referring to but there you go again. You mistakenly believe that <Insert Head of Government> speaks unilaterally for the entire populace, as if he's some sort of Borg Queen who decides the group think. Absolutely bizarre. I assume you think that all...

The problems and irritations with finding a new job...

It's not about any sort of balance of negativity towards others, it's about sweeping statements in general. The various posts/arguments on this board amongst Americans clearly illustrates that we're far from homogeneous.

You have such an irritating way of painting the US in binary strokes even though you've been reprimanded over and over on it. I don't get it.

Groupon - what's the deal here?

Yep, I've participated in Groupons before though I have to admit this comic is pretty spot on. http://s3.amazonaws.com/theoatmeal-img/comics/state_web_winter/groupon.jpg

    Global warming

That's not what I asked though. I asked about whether or not you'd feel responsible for causing AGW.

    Global warming

No. My point wasn't that those sections would warm up, it was the overly simplistic view that warmer = better for the world overall. Let's "pretend" that AGW is a problem. Would you feel the least bit responsible then?

    Global warming

This seems to be way too simplistic and completely contradictory to your stance about how complex understanding climate is. In other words, you have been arguing that climate is so complex, the science is uncertain, etc but yet here you are saying warmer is better without any sort of...

    Time for a new UPS...

I generally only stick with APC. If you're worried about MOVs, then maybe something like brickwalls are what you want to use as a first line of defense (i.e. plug a UPS into that)

    Global warming

Yes, those that doubt the impact of climate change (regardless if you believe Humans are a cause or not) should at least read the following article. http://abcnews.go.com/Technology/climate-change-mysteries-global-cooling-ancient-past/story?id=12822254

    Global warming

Do you admit that the reverse holds true as well? That is, those that are denying it could be doing so out of financial gain? Ok, and what about the rest of the planet that would become uninhabitable if the portions above warmed up to reach the temps you're referring to?

The indigenous folks of Alaska do fine in the cold. I.e. you're picking ambiguous temperature points.
