News & Rumors: Xbox One (codename Durango)

Thanks for this, I decided to run through the setup again for Kinect using the troubleshooting section as I initially just placed it where the 360's Kinect had been. It was working fine but I wanted to see if it would prefer a different angle. Going through the test and it recognizing my...

News & Rumors: Xbox One (codename Durango)

I had no issues with my old Logitech Revue Google TV and it's IR Blaster controlling my TV, Cable box and AVR when I was using it. It found the codes automatically and setup looked near identical to what the images posted above for the Xbox One. What brand, what model, test blasted...

Same here...was really looking forward to the digital game sharing feature, most of my friends were excited about that as well.

Are you going to *change* your platform of choice going into next-gen?

Not really a concern. Most of my friends/family are on cable with 30mb down. Start a download and go do something else until downloaded.(eat lunch/dinner, hang out and talk, play some of their games). Bonus...if they are on my family sharing aspect...then they would have already had the...

What's the point of the 24 hour Xbox One connect?

Probably from the ability to play any of your games anywhere, anytime. Visit a friend, sign in your gamertag and download one of your DD games to play. You sign out and go home, the DD is still sitting on that console. 24 check prevents it from being used on your friends gamertag. My...

Are you going to *change* your platform of choice going into next-gen?

Own a 360 and will be getting the One. Why? Kinect is awesome (for voice control features...use it now on 360 a lot) and I love the Cable/Sat box integration with HDMI In and being able to instantly switch from TV > Game > Apps or whatever combo of those. I personally don't feel any graphical...

He's not replacing where Peter left according to Major Nelson..

*spin-off* Importance of Backward Compatibility Discussion

To throw in my two cents.....I don't care if the next one has BC or if it does. If (and that's a bit IF) having BC affects the advancement of the next system then definitely leave out BC. I'll still have my 360 for a while after I get the NeXtBox, just like I had my Xbox after the 360 came...

Major Nelson tweet 960,000 360's sold over Black Friday

With their "biggest week in Xbox history" of sales.....it definitely doesn't seem like they would be interested in introducing the next Xbox anytime soon.

Options: Xbox 360 Non-Slim Hard Drive

You can only use sizes that MS uses, either official drives or hacked similar drives to mimic official drives. 250GB was the max, looks like 320GB might be the new max. 20GB, 60GB, 120GB and 250GB. Some new special edition models are coming with larger (320GB) drives.

Microsoft Blog Entry:Sales number, usage stats and hints at new XBL-capable devices

I get those every month, I think starting either this year (January) or around March. I have two 360's and two Gold accounts. Each account gets the emails....
