I don't know if TLoU has a built in benchmark, but if it does I doubt HUB is using it. They try and take their benchmarks from gameplay.

Yup, played it tonight and it only took about 10 seconds. Although when the last patch did the pre-caching it took about 40 seconds, so maybe that was in addition to what had already been pre-cached?

When I loaded it up the menu was running at about 5fps, presumably pre-caching, then it returned to 90. I then played the game and went further than I had before (new environment). I had a few tiny stutters throughout the bits I had previously played and the new bits, but there was no...

To any PC players, any preference between mouse & keyboard vs a controller for this game? I'm using M+K, but the non conventional controls are making me think I should switch to a controller?

Just loaded Steam and there is another patch, only about 500MB. I restarted the game and it seems much better, definately playable. (y)

Hmm, I guess I must have already played it with the patch then. It pre-installed last night and then when I fired it up this afternoon (4pm GTM), I had a 15ish GB patch. I can barely dare to imagine what it must have been like before the patch. Overall performance was quite good, averaged 78fps...

That's interesting, there still seems to be plenty of stock here in the UK, and even some have discounts ("down" to £1769). On another forum someone was selling a 4090 FE and wanted £1900 for it. Thread was like a ghost town.

Having got XBox games pass for a month primarily to try out some multiplayer games, I'm really enjoying Far Cry 5. I guess I must be about 2/3rds through it as I've just got to the 3rd area. I had been a bit down on gaming recently, but this has refreshed my interest.

Have there been any leaks or indications of the price or performance of the RX 7800 XT? With AMD having the 6800 XT and 6900 XT so close in performance terms are people assuming that those 2 have been replaced by the two 7900 cards? Would the 7800 XT replace the RX 6800, and slot in at $550-650...
