    Rage3d has been compromised

So, not an attack and not down for maintenance.... goes down almost precisely on August 1st... Sounds like a billing matter.

    R.I.P ChrisRay - 1983-2010

This is such a huge waste... it's just unfathomable. How does such a positive, young, intelligent and charming guy like Chris die so young? It is always so sad when someone so young and so bright leaves us... it's just so untimely! I'm in shock and truly will miss Chris and his eloquent...

    Will intel ever support SLI?

Actually I'd think the fact that some SLI boards overclock the hell out of the the PCI-E bus (as much as 125mhz) as well as stock gpu overclocking to this level isn't something ATI videocards would likely handle. Comes down to benchmark scores vs. frying hardware.

Could this be the worst ever GPU article ever written?

Someone needs to get Charlie an SLI rig with Crysis... STAT! I'm sure the article will quickly be pulled after that experience.. :D

I no longer feel pressurised to go DX10

In fact, even Microsoft admitted lack-luster retail sales- much lower than expected. They even had to combine the first two-months sales figures in their initial press releases to compare with XP's first month. Also, several sources have mirrored the Vista launch being substantially lesser...

I no longer feel pressurised to go DX10

The original poster's sentiment rings on through when you look at mainstream Vista acceptance. It's fallen flat on it's face. Even Dell has reverted to offering XP and now Ubuntu on newer PC's, and other manufacturers are seeing reduced interest in Vista-only new OEM PC's. Microsoft's...

"ATI Kung Fu better than Nvidia?"

Aha! So that explains ATI's Linux drivers, then? :D

    Changing perceptions.

My perceptions haven't changed much at all, with the exception of the Wii. xbox360: No change in perceptions there. Even mid last year, I knew with Microsoft's marketing muscle and distribution lines it would propel the console well. I also concluded it's software library would have next...

Looking for a wireless PS2 pad with small receiver and batteries

I use the official Logitech Wireless PS2 controller as well + rechargeable batteries. I don't think it should go without saying just how INSANE the battery life is on this Logitech controller. It easily can go 4-5x as long as other wireless controllers as it has all sorts of really, really...

    As sleazy as it gets

I'm not really sure why this is such a big deal. Any idiot can read one or two sentence constructs from this guy and clearly see it's not b3d/nvnews ChrisRay. My brain hurts just reading his posts... ".. becuse I can get in big trouble (has to do with aggreements made between the company...

Efficient scheduling for single- and multi-core?

The biggest obstacle I've encountered with parallel design IS that trade-off between your original desire to have near "loss-less" performance on single-core architectures vs. how much performance gain you achieve on parallel platforms. Every step of the way will be riddled with the choice of...

Nvidia gets delisting warning from Nasdaq

Par for the course and doesn't seem like anything out of the ordinary. Rules/laws concerning stock options are inherently fuzzy and simply guidelines, which require a lot of legal wrangling and occasional audits. I'd say 90% of the publicly traded companies out there would have found...

    Firingsquad Fires Back

In another discussion forum, I've discussed this HardOCP article with other gamers (less technically savvy than here..) and I believe the whole problem revolves around the fact the target "goal" of HardOCP's Conroe tests wasn't clear... nor does the article attempt to clarify that goal, which...

    The Rydermark Thread (TM)

This has to be the most hysterical form of "evidence" I've seen anyone try to pander for a given accusation. I'm still wiping soda from my monitor screen from a nose projectile... I'm adjusting my "drinking while surfing" habit in preparation for the forthcoming videos that have been...
