It wasn't Pro mode, but manual gears and no assists. I was constantly getting lap times of about a second away from Gold and then I somehow managed to shave a second from the 2nd corner (before the bridge) and kept a second ahead for the whole lap. My final time was something like 1:39.95 so...

I'm in the UK with a JPN PS3 and i've not had problems with any PSN games. I haven't got an eyetoy though so I haven't tried the games you're having trouble with. I can confirm that PixelJunk Monsters definitely works and it's a great little game.

I can only go by what I have seen and IMO the UT2007 looked better than the GOW footage. Both games look great but I prefer the realistic look of UT2007 over the shiny look of GOW.
