Sorry for my ignorance, but if this is true that the 6970 is 40% faster than the 6870, where does it leave the 6950? My guess is around the 5870 level wich is a bit faster than the 6870, and if so who will by the 6950 then? Find it a bit weird that all these rumors compare the 6970 to the 6870...

Its not hard to see, the Nv logo on the fan is painted....... really bad work here.

I think they ment the 6870, so its some what old news. Oh, and if its only in tessellation we will see up to 50% improvments thats not much. ;-)

Well with all speculations latly i feel my head hurts, but Fuad have some more on these floating rumors. The way i see it Amd got caught with theire pants down when NV released the Gtx 580, i dont think they expected that right now...

So with the latest rumors its slower than the Gtx 580, or should i say not much faster than the 5870?

Do you by that think of the 6990? Because its the only card by specs that is gonne be faster if rumors are to be belived. Ati now Amd has been playing catch up for some years now, and with a dual cayman on one board i have a hard time to belive that a singel card will be a monster ....
