Blazing Fast NVMEs and Direct Storage API for PCs *spawn*

I think I did not explain myself well. I was thinking that, until DirectStorage supports GPU decompression, it could be possible to "cheat" and use the graphic part of an APU at the CPU only stage. If I am not wrong you just can use the CPU at "Custom Decompression Queue" stage.

Blazing Fast NVMEs and Direct Storage API for PCs *spawn*

Maybe this is an idiotic question, but if you have and APU+GPU system, could you use the graphic side of the APU in the "Custom Decompression Queue"?

    Switch 2 Speculation

A semi-custom Orin could take out some of the "automobile cores" and add some tensor core. I think we could try to extrapolate how many tensor cores are needed from this https://cdn.wccftech.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/DLSS2_5-scaled.jpg, GTX 2060S has 272 tensor cores.

Intel in the next gen of consoles?

Instead or opening a new thread I will use this to ask. Is an Intel based Steam Deck doable? We do not know size nor power usage of ARC GPUs, but 2 clusters of E-Cores (8 Gracemont cores) and an ARC mini-gpu could be similar to Steam Deck APU in performance and power usage?

Shader Compilation on PC: About to become a bigger bottleneck?

I really do not know. Microsoft, Game editor, Portals (Steam, Epic)??? I think that is more a political than technical question ¿Who does the work? Games are constantly patched, and uploading GPU + driver revision + game version (thanks Flappy Pannus) is no so difficult. As patching your game...

Shader Compilation on PC: About to become a bigger bottleneck?

If I am not wrong (probably I am) shaders are compiled considering CPU+GPU+VRAM+RAM combinations. It could be doable: - Check hardware. - Install game (most probably download). - Upload game Id and hardware info to cloud. - Search for precompiled shaders. ---- If, shaders exits download. ----...

Edharveys, Photoshop filetype, Optipng and others. I try from time to time other ones. Paint.net 4.3.3 is just out and need to check if there is any incompatibility or main program has the feature (or speed) and is not needed.
