Native FP16 support in GPU architectures

True but the A8X is a 3 billion transistor chip. I'm pretty sure they can't push clocks that high, even on 20nm. Remember 20nm isn't that magical. Apparently the K1 GPU is clocked around 850Mhz.

Native FP16 support in GPU architectures

As I suspected. In GFXBench 3.0 Manhattan Offscreen, 32,5fps vs 31fps. Small victory for PowerVR. Need to see more benchmarks though.

Native FP16 support in GPU architectures

This confusion about the added FP16 units is really weird. IMG stated that the reason they added those units is power consumption. If the developer uses FP16 for objects that don't need the precision of FP32 then it would cut the power consumption because the more complex FP32 ALU's don't need...

XGI Volari XP5 for desktop PC?

Great ... you got hold of a development board. It even has a LVDS output for testing. XP5/V3 is one of the last chipsets Trident ever made. Trident TVGA8900, my first videocard ... the times i had with it. :p The XP5 was actually used in a couple Toshiba notebooks.

Reviving the Oak Tech. Warp 5.

Here you go: http://members.tripod.com/~FireEYE/warp5.html I find having AA on all the time being a WIN and FAIL at the same time. It's a WIN because what's life without AA? It's a FAIL because the card for sure can be faster if you could turn AA off, which would make it more...

Does Chrome9 HC support 2-texel/clock multitexturing?

The Chrome9 HC is based on the Deltachrome. If history serves me well, i remember that the 8 pipe Deltachrome didn't get anywhere near to it's theoretical fillrate as soon as one texture was applied. It wasn't until the Gammachrome that S3 fixed it's fillrate issues. The 4 pipe Gammachrome was...

Real3d R3D/100, has anyone ever seen it?

Once in a while i go to the recycle center and the stuff people throw away ... it really hurts. :) Too bad you are not allowed to take stuff from there. Over the last 18 years i always threw away my old stuff ... if i just would have kept my stuff. What i love about those times is that you...

Real3d R3D/100, has anyone ever seen it?

Look at this collection: http://82.114.193.227/vga/rservice.php?akce=tisk&cisloclanku=2007070001 Some really rare stuff like chips from Sigma Designs, Sierra, Realtek, ... ? When i was a kid, i only saw ISA cards from Trident and Cirrus Logic. Too bad you can't find info on these exotic...
