I cloned the GIT repo, built it using VS2015 + Win10SDK and ran perfectly on my R9 2XX card (with latest catalyst driver)
note: You need to run the VS solution in "Admin" mode due to the realtime GPU/CPU tracing it does ...
The demo is a simple model renderer that uses the MiniEngine apparently ..
"The 360 games think they're running on the 360 OS, which they are. And the 360 OS thinks its running on the hardware, which it's not, it's running on an emulated VM. On the other side, the Xbox One thinks it's a game. That's why things like streaming, game DVR, and screenshots all work, because...
msdn "Design Philosophy of Command Queues and Command Lists" ...
Not really sure what you're trying to ask here as a major features of D3d12 is the introduction of a second level of command lists "bundles" which i'm interpreting as what you're calling "batches" ...
?? really not that hard ... depends on how they do it, if they needed to build a new MMU for the GPU and totally rework the security to use the ARM/AXI bus (that controls ALL security for the XB1) ...
everything points to this being a pretty impressive technical feat in my eyes...
"Spencer also clarified that this is not a developer-dependent process; Microsoft will take care of most of the heavy lifting. All a developer needs to do is give Microsoft the OK, and the company's game will show up on the Xbox One. In theory, this should make the vast majority of Xbox 360...
... personally ... a killer Occulus experience may convince strong sales .... Me wishful thinking BUT ... Halo 60fps on Occulus + controller ....
If 343 + XB + MS + Occulus does it right, it could convince lots of unit sales ...
you all honestly think it will cost more to manufacture a hololens than
1. all that custom xb1+kinect2 silicon/hw ( $300)
2. a surface pro ($800)
3. a Lumia 940 ($700)
I mean its' not like its a Surface HUB they're building ... I honestly can't imagine it being as expensive as people here are...
in all honesty ... this is 343 studios, and this is Halo Next .. this is THE Xbox Game ... I'd be suprised if the devs and this game didn't push the Xbox and its api/stack to it's limits ...
So I'd be rightly dissapointed if they couldn't achieve 1080p MINIMUM at 60fps on a Win10 core
