    Unreal Engine 5, [UE5 Developer Availability 2022-04-05]

I think Lumen supports hardware RT already, but there's probably the situation of the insane amount of polygons possibily harming performance more than helping out. If you have the geometry of the scene scaling with the camera (in order to achieve the 1:1 pixel density) that means you need to...

XBox One Backwards Compatibility and Xbox One X Enhancements for X360 and OG (XO XOX BC)

Good news, there's a high chance mouse support is coming this year even: https://www.windowscentral.com/xbox-mouse-support-likely-going-live-next-update-wave

XBox One Backwards Compatibility and Xbox One X Enhancements for X360 and OG (XO XOX BC)

There's also this one that sounds a little more definitive (that they are increasing the resolution by 9 from whatever it was)

XBox One Backwards Compatibility and Xbox One X Enhancements for X360 and OG (XO XOX BC)

Per Albert Penello on tiwtter, it's not just the 4 demoed, but not all games either. He says that the games must be made in a certain way, but pretty much all native 720p get to render on 4k (his wording makes it seem that some non native games will also get 9 times the resolution boost, but not...

    Scorpio E3 messaging

I used gospel because both MEA and Watchdogs 2 were said in their analysis to be a imperceptible difference to native and many people disagreed. It's also two games that CB introduced some artifacts, specially WD2 that they didn't mention. And I don't think all games will be 4k native on...

    Scorpio E3 messaging

I don't think the DF is gospel or necessarily represents the perception of other people. Watch Dogs 2 and ME Andromeda are two examples of games that look quite bad on the Pro compared to a native 4k image. Sure it looks better than either 1080p console, but a native 4k version of those games...

    *spin-off* Screen-space/AO/Path tracing techniques & future... stuff

I followed the link you post. On the first QB sequence I think you got the images backward. On the first image he is further away in the tunnel, thus receiving the green light, in the second one he's closer to the pillar so the light would indeed not illuminate completely his jacket.

Microsoft XBOX (XBox One X / Project Scorpio) - Prerelease News and Rumours

Well, the console can already run self published apps, and with keyboard and mouse support it could even be a light PC of the store picks up. Enviado de meu SM-G610M usando Tapatalk

Microsoft XBOX (XBox One X / Project Scorpio) - Prerelease News and Rumours

It's not unprecedent. Ms had a partnership with B3D to reveal every intrinsic detail of the architecture and the specs, they even broke down the gpu piece by piece explaining how MS and Ati achieved it. For xbone they had an Wired article, not as in depth, but also described the architecture...

Middle Generation Console Upgrade Discussion [Scorpio, 4Pro]

Legality of Emus on Consoles *feather split*

With the creators program and no concept approval for uwp games on xbone I think there will be nothing preventing emulators on xbone bar ms prohibiting them from the store altogether. before they restricted by saying that game like experiences had to go through id@xbox, now that's no longer the...

1080p HDR image better than 4k non HDR ?

I think that was a not so subtle jab at ps4p's checkboard rendering tech.

Image Quality and Framebuffer Analysis for Available/release build Games *Read the first post*

That's because the games themselves look unusually good. SO is a very pretty and impressive game, even considering the resolution.
