Can anyone make out the labels on the chips?

Now that I look at the chips closer, it's 2x512MB total on the board. So assuming the card in the picture and the screenshot card are the same, it looks like ATi really does have working shared memory. EDIT: Hey, what's up with my ID?

Partly. One of the facts we do have, is the lack of information on the RV770. Which is a good thing for ATi's business.

Well, it's dated October 29th, 2007. I don't think 2-3 days is out dated.

Penstarsys is saying the RV670 has about 100 million more transistors than the R600. This is rumor (or at least without confirmation), but why would the RV670 have more than the R600 if it was "just" a die shrink? Penstarsis: State of 3D: Q4 2007

After talking to Mike at Stanford F@H, he said that they have contacted MS a few times to setup an X360 client, but that MS has not shown any interest. However, as of Oct 06 someone at MS has contacted Rosetta@Home about setting something up there. But I think there hasn't been any activity...

He says that the die shrink won't happen until fall, which would be after the Elite is released. So how would a MB redesign help reduce unit costs without a die shrink unless there are other components that are being combined or shrunk?
