Sony PSP 3000 - breakthrough LCD feature

There are still some unanswered questions about this: 1) Does the progressive scan TV output display interlaced lines? 2) I've read some reports that the interlacing only occurs on some 2D games and not on 3D games ("mostly"). This is strange to me, so can anyone say anything about this...

Why in the world does the PSP have a 480 x 272 resolution screen?

480 x 270 with square pixels is a 16:9 aspect ratio. 480 x 272 with square pixels is not a 16:9 aspect ratio (it's actually 30:17, but that's beside the point). So why did Sony choose a resolution that was really close to 16:9, but not actually 16:9?

Is it possible to upres SuperFX 3D graphics?

First of all, bsnes does not even emulate the SuperFX chip yet. Secondly, I just tried looking through every setting I could find in Snes9x, and could not find any way to render Star Fox/SuperFX games in a higher resolution. Here's the game playing fullscreen on Snes9x at 1024 x 768 with the...

Is it possible to upres SuperFX 3D graphics?

Strangely enough, I can't find a way to edit my post, so... Whoops, I read that wrong, Ostepop. Anyway, has any emulator done this yet? Or has anyone tried?

Is it possible to upres SuperFX 3D graphics?

Well, I want to make clear what I mean: upscale: to take an image of a lower resolution and use an interpolation algorithm to convert it to a higher resolution (for example, blowing up a 640 x 480 image to 1280 x 960 pixels, but not actually adding any more information to the image -- the...

Is it possible to upres SuperFX 3D graphics?

Is it possible to upres Super NES SuperFX-based 3D games, like Star Fox? Most good emulators of 3D consoles are able to render games in higher resolutions than they would be rendered on the actual hardware, but is this theoretically possible for SuperFX games running in a Super NES emulator?

The Framerate Analysis Thread part 2

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the additional input lag at most less than a frame?
