Meh...
First person to claim the NV3X is great because it does great in 'current' games (citing UT2004 demo) and ignores the aspects of games *not* on last years engines I will personally hunt down
P.S> Yes UT2004 demo on max detail at 1600x1200 16xAF 6xAA (set via ini) does run...
Yep he definately gets Kudos for that.... and their reviews *are* a lot fairer these days... now we have current games that push cards so it's not a case of "current games show no difference" but all the current games use last years tech and not 'soon to be current' tech...
Dig remember...
Well that wasn't a marketing decision - there was a runtime update... witH the ps3/vs3 stuff no runtime update is needed so it isn't really a fair comparison
Not to mention that FM says they'll only use WHQL drivers.... that would mean two WHQL qualifications for each driver - when they have the same number (the md5 checksums would be different between them of course so it would be detected then).... very unlikely
Err.... is it just me that feels this way but if someone isn't aware of *that* sort of thing what hope is there of the same person knowing what IHV's are doing with their drivers.
TBH to put it bluntly.... if someone doesn't know that major a performance delta exists what the HELL are they...
LOL indeed.... and there is a development effort going on to read/write memory cards over the ethernet connection..... could be onto a winner here ;)
Let's patent *altering of remote storage medium over link layer connection method* and then pull a SCO and own all network transports and get...
According to the status of the router it is 100 full for that connection :)
Oh btw cthellis I agree it's a bit weird without the storage - but hey nevermind eh? Just make sure you don't turn it off and have to use the *tricks* again... after there ain't gonna be an actual linu disc for it ;)...
wow... how long has that been in development now?... it was originally announced - what 2/3 years ago maybe? 5 or 6 years spent developing one game.... frightening thought really.....
(P.S. Don't mention DNF  )
News from the nForce team....
Abit and nVidia are still partners on nForce motherboards. All support will be continuing and an NF3 board is (apparently) in the works....
That should cheer a few of you up ;)
Well um hmm I agree with Brandon.....
And it's not *any* companies fault per se..... teh economy is still in a slump - it's hurting a lot of bottom margins of a lot of companies.....
I'm mean - seriously - how long did you think that *this* many companies could compete in the same market...
