I'd say, comparing XSX and XSX desirability, that a big number of folks are willing to pay more for better specs. Dual console approach at $399/699 price points could make sense. People are also lining to buy very expensive 4090's as we speak.

I'm wondering if very capable RT hardware in next gen consoles (RTX4080 level of performance or more in 2024/2025) could enable RTX Remix like functionality where older titles could automatically gain RT support / physically based materials to improve graphics quality? That would be neat.

I sure hope there will be mid gen refresh or early next gen introduction. Current bunch of consoles are a bit of a letdown to be honest, primarily because of the poor RT performance and no real AI based upscaling. CPU performance seems to be OK, but compared to last three Nvidia GPU...
