*ren* PSN Down, Customer Info Compromised

The ssl session usually terminates in the application, not in os or in ip stack. But due to security reasons it's pretty common to terminate the ssl in the loadbalancer so that idp/ids (this might be a part of pci/dss) can check the traffic before it hits the server (or the idp/ids can be a part...

    IPv6, Consoles and gaming networks

Dualstack has been standard in linux for a couple of years at least. So there should be a lot of open source code availible. And theres many different tunneling standards aswell. I don't think the client side is the big problem when it comes to ipv6 nor the applications. i think the big problem...

Technological discussion on PS3 security and crack.*

Ok. I find it hard to believe. so much security in ps3 and everything is wide open if 1 key is leaked or retrieved due to an exploit. They should have some kind of failsafe for situations like this. What if theres another key already present in the hypervisor, maybe theres other ways to...

I can't see why they can't add another masterkey (with random salt) with a firmware update. Whitelist every executable signed with the old key if they match the original hashes (the hash values has to be included in the firmware).
