AMD: Speculation, Rumors, and Discussion (Archive)

All it took is one post to trigger you, grow a thicker skin. And while you're at it merge all the Nvidia threads as well, maybe merge ALL threads into one megathread to keep it interesting  This forum is really going downhill.

AMD: Speculation, Rumors, and Discussion (Archive)

This is altogether odd, we know Ptolemy died in 168A.D. so he never even saw Polaris and the star was actually discovered in the late 18th century by Herschel. It's probably a reference to the dual Fiji card cause the case can be made for the dual card to be 2.5 times faster if you compare it...

    AMD Mantle API [updating]

Scali had an account here and he indeed had a hatred for anything ATI/AMD. Hasn't posted here since the fermi days, you can infer why. It's also not surprising the kind of people who would take the time to find him and quote him. This seems apropos

    Fallout 4's Stunning Lighting

I think this is a much better example of what this super duper "stunning" lighting actually aimed to achieve. Over tesselated baked in lighting under a bed? Sure no problem no one will notice and as long as it gives us a performance advantage it's fine.

Self-inflicted AMD PR Drama [Nano Fury Edition]

Can we please move to another thread or better yet nuke all these drama post, 'cause at this point all I see is people stroking themselves with the issue atop their little soapboxes. P.S: I must wonder though, where was that elevated sense of outrage when Nvidia threatened Stardock? :)

    The AMD Execution Thread [2007 - 2017]

Yeah because YOU need to be convinced before the rest of the world can act right?

    The AMD Execution Thread [2007 - 2017]

So it seems Mediatek is going to add AMD GPUs in their ARM SOCs. Huge win if true. :) P.S: For some reason I find it funny that we will have the old Radeon (Adreno) GPUs from Qualcomm facing the next gen evolution GCN GPUs in the same market.

    AMD Mantle API [updating]

I suppose you people with an axe to grind are going to say that the 70 developers actively working with Mantle is a lie huh? I mean who are you trying to convince? Developers are using Mantle, pretty much all games coming from EA that use Frostbyte will support Mantle, Cryengine will also have...

    AMD Mantle API [updating]

That stuff would fall into the "not-so-exciting" category. Oculus' own efforts in reducing latency already provide better results than what Nvidia came up with.

Low Latency and Stutter-Free Rendering in VR and Graphics Applications (Presented by AMD) http://schedule.gdconf.com/session/low-latency-and-stutter-free-rendering-in-vr-and-graphics-applications-presented-by-amd Crossfired GPUs running Mantle with one GPU per eye would be my guess...

    AMD Mantle API [updating]

Article reeks of Nvidia sponsored tripe. Yes let's focus on a subset of games that are Nvidia sponsored with lawyered up black box code that can't be optimized by AMD nor the developer even if they wanted to and for good measure let's ignore Mantle even exists as a testing option. This is what...

    AMD Mantle API [updating]

Every game using Cryengine will support Mantle. I fully expect the recently announced moba Arena of Fate and Hunt: Horrors of the Gilded Age to support Mantle as well.

AMD: Pirate Islands (R* 3** series) Speculation/Rumor Thread

    Barco Aura - driver request

ygpm FYI: The card only works on special greyscale displays 'cause it's used for medical displays (radiography, mammography, etc) which might explain the artifacts you saw. According to the specs sheet these are the supported resolutions: 1600 x 1200 @ 60Hz 1536 x 2048 @ 60Hz 2048 x 1536 @...
