RSX pixel shaders vs Xenos pixel shaders

Is he not repeating what some Japanese developer said recently? Or has that been throughly debunked? Excuse me for not knowing ERP's exalted status here. I never knew his position. I don't have time to read every posts on this forum, because of work issues. Anyway, I don't see why I have to...

What's with all the sweat? Games are starting to get disgusting. What's next! Farts will be provided for realism purposes?

RSX pixel shaders vs Xenos pixel shaders

It responses like this I don't understand and there have been a number of them lately on the forum. If it's not too much trouble please explain WHY!!!! After all this is a discussion forum, and these type of comments do not invite discussion. It would be my guess you don't understand the issue...

Sonic the Hedgehog PS3, X360 with screens

Those screenshots are horrible. Looks like the PS2 version, if one is coming for the PS2. I saw the game at the Tokyo Game Show, and it looked much better than this, running on the PS3 development station, with Yuki Naka controlling the game. The highlight of the show for me! I'm a huge Sonic...

Starbreeze take on the Ps3 vs Xbox 360 (the Darkness Int)

Replying to your post Rockster: 1) - total amount of internal memory (2304 KB versus 360's 1024 KB: 2.25 times) On-chip memories is very important to execution, because it's much closer to the execution units, than external memories, and adding L1 cache to the comparison, does not change the...

Is the Xenos a shader monster yes or no?

Please provide evidence for that. I take all these efficiency claims with a grain of salt.

Starbreeze take on the Ps3 vs Xbox 360 (the Darkness Int)

I actually think the two systems are comparable, and even think the 360 is an awesome system, but just pointing out the main difference in power between the two is CELL. When someone cuts down CELL as hype, that when a few facts should be shared. Feel free to debunk them. My choice in PS3 does...

Developers, what are some of the craziest things you seen or heard about?

ShootMyMonkey, curious as to why you are calling that guy "creature"?

Starbreeze take on the Ps3 vs Xbox 360 (the Darkness Int)

    CELL is superior on: - total amount of internal memory (2304 KB versus 360's 1024 KB: 2.25 times) - number of processors (8 versus 360's 3: 2.7 times ) - number of *concurrent* threads (8 versus 360's 3: 2.66 times) - GFLOPS rating (204 GFLOPS versus 360's 77 GFLOPS: 2.65 times) - integer...

Starbreeze take on the Ps3 vs Xbox 360 (the Darkness Int)

People are excited over this new chip, and just because it does not meet you approval mean that these people are wrong. It's your arrogant attitude of being "shocked", that makes your post non-constructive, and annoying. It would be equivalent to me saying, It's not something I would say, or...

Starbreeze take on the Ps3 vs Xbox 360 (the Darkness Int)

Yeah I agree, all those processors, all that floating point power, all that integer power, all that huge bandwidth internally and externally is just one big con by IBM/Sony/Toshiba that they spent $400 million on. Who would have thought we could be so stupid to fall for it. If that's all you...

Starbreeze take on the Ps3 vs Xbox 360 (the Darkness Int)

Well what does that say for the 360 CPU! We been told many times that Xenon was a very powerful general purpose core, but I guess not?

    Untold Legends Vid!

I heard the previous game sold well, and they could very well improve on the genre, and get higher scores. I would not dismiss them on past scores alone. Let's wait for the reviews.

Starbreeze take on the Ps3 vs Xbox 360 (the Darkness Int)

Sounds to me then, they need to use all 360 cores to just match their PC version, since the PC version did not even need dual-cores to run just fine.
