tpu claims polaris 30 is dual sourced from both glofo 12lp and samsung lpp11. Is there any possibility of this?

Since amd will need a new i/o die for ryzen 3000 with 2 memory channels, wouldn't it be economically wiser to include a gpu in it (making all ryzen 3000, apus) using the same 7nm chiplets, instead of designing both a new i/o die and and a new apu chiplet (either on 7nm or 12/14nm) ?
if "extremely competitive" is 1-2% then i guess "very competitive" is around 10%
Q22: Do you/GlobalFoundries care what other semiconductor manufacturers call their processes?
GP: Not really. Our customers know the difference - they get our design kit, they can layout circuits, they know how...
Well if you are amd and have salvaged chips that can't become 6850 and/but can clearly win 550 i don't see why not. Plus the 6xxx series will attract more people (marketing reasons).
it seems that r775pro would have gddr4 memory, if the above come true. I believe that there would be 1gb models too. Though the fact that it would be out in march means that 40nm chips could be delayed at least until june in my opinion.
