Forza and Gran Turismo both had a feature where you could add additional screens to increase the fov by way of multiple ps3s\xbox360s
If they give the option of using 2 ps4s (one for each eye), then people could game without the decrease in performance/resolution.
is there some computing algorithm used to show the 2 pictures at about the same resolution as the original image? Or will there have to be 2 image viewpoints calculated at half the resolution?
I remember I think the crysis guys saying a while back that there engine does 3d for free or close...
for someone who doesn't really understand mlaa, I'm assuming mlaa saves graphics memory because the framebuffer is moved over to the main xdr ram, but does mlaa use more ram overall(xdr+gddr)?
not only that, but iOS devices, even with 10 billion downloaded apps, have a to date revenue of $280 million. That is EA's revenue on the xbox 360 or PS3 for the last fiscal year.
It's possible, but I highly doubt NGP is going to sell as many as the iOS devices. If Sony thinks NGP is going to...
I agree. Most people don't want to spend a lot of money on AAA games on portables. But then how are developers supposed to make up for the costs? Make all single player games at most 2-4 hour instead of the 6-12 hours?
This is conundrum. and because of this, I don't think the NGP is going to...
almost. The psp I think fulfilled some of those roles but mainly in japan via monster hunter series. With a 2nd analog nub, and ~650 megs of ram, the NGP does have a stronger shot at fulfilling those roles in the US.
Think how cool it would be to play ad hoc local multiplayer with you school...
yeap. This is what NGP needs to focus on.
It's not as simple as just home consoles and portables.
These are the target markets:
1. at home cinematic high end single player experience - 360, ps3
2. Portable cinematic high end single player experience - ngp
3. at home low/casual experience...
I'll buy an NGP if it has the following:
1. a good ebook/pdf reader. they need to import in all the functionality from their Reader line of e-ink displays. Their readers are touch capable. you can turn pages with a flick of a finger, double tap words to bring up the dictionary for that word...
http://www.gamasutra.com/view/news/32681/Sony_NGP_To_Come_In_3GFree_Model_PS_Suite_To_Support_NonGaming_Apps.php
It appears non-gaming apps are coming to the psp2. I hope they let end users put stuff on it like apple's app store. If they have this, and if it has a webkit based browser and a...
reasons why the psp2 could already be dead
It was interesting to see the dearth of support from western publisher. The psp w/ all it's piracy problems left a bad taste in people's mouth. I'm sure the recent hacks don't give many publishers much confidence in Sony's security for the psp2(also, I...

This is a strange story of twin swedish sisters, Sabina & Ursala Erickson, who are obviously madly insane.
They try to deliberately run in front of traffic, get hit by a car, get run overed by a truck, struggle with immense strength against the police, stab...
