The industry is getting too much of this EA crap. Personally i have boycotted all their releases the past 6 months. This Christmas i wanted to get some EA games, like NFSU2 and the latest MOHAA but instead a got FM05 and chronicles of riddick. They are not getting a single euro from me ever again !

Yeah, in that case tearing can be very bad. I don't want to go OT but how the hell do you people game on those LCDs. The best LCD i have seen to date, is crap @ gaming compared to my 19" 120 Hz CRT

Agreed I assume you mean LCD users who are running with v-sync off, cause i always run with v-sync off on a 120Hz CRT (up to 1600x1200) and tearing is almost non-existent/barely noticeable. I really can't stand the side-effects of v-sync.

lol, i had one 7000 rpm Delta on a 1.4 Ghz TBird...boy was that loud. The funny thing is that back then (3 years ago) it didn't bother me that much. I actually sold that PC to a friend and when i visited him a couple of months ago i was shocked at the noise of that thing...everyting is silent on...

First of all, at the moment we are speculating. There are a lot of rumors floating around about NV40 and higher speed parts/new ref board design which although unconfirmed have put a lot of smoke into the scenery. Furthermore, i find it kind of hard to believe the X800 Pro will beat the 6800...
