New network domain change problem
My son accidentally changed the network domain which has screwed up his login password. Anyone have an idea how to login now or maybe restore the previous domain? Using F8 then loading the last good config doesn't work.
Safe mode still asks for a password.
This makes a lot more sense (to me) now. The disk I used for install was a first release without any service packs. I added the reg key & used a free partition manager & sure enough, I was able to format the rest of the disk. Meh!
Btw, I found out my Vista 64 gaming issues was really a SLI...
Any idea when I deleted the partition before XP install, XP install only detected or showed 127bg available for formating? I suppose I could have edited that part (not sure that would matter either) but I've never had to in 10 years of HD formating.
Vista & XP partition issue?
I have a 300 GB HD that I had put Vista on initially. Had some issues gaming & decided to try XP to see if the issues showed up on XP in an effort to determine if the issues were hardware related. But when I went to format the HD for XP I noticed the file size...
DOH! Heh, your right. I hadn't thought about that. K so back on topic. Is there really any other benefits of a 780i chip aside from tri-sli & maybe more bios options?
Hadn't really thought about tri-sli but I wonder how good that would be with 8800 GT's. Anyway the mobo is tempting just for the layout & possible extra features. But the hassles that go along with it may be enough for me to put it aside for a while.
I find myself in the position of owning both here in a short while (long story). So right now I have the 760i installed & the 780i is on the way which I can't stop or return (its a RMA replace). Can anyone explain the differences to me? The 760i is running fine but the 780i has a better board...
But you can bit stream out on the X-FI card. So it should be pretty good if you have a speaker setup or surround sound system that can process DDL & dts.
Only reason I bring this up now is because I had to RMA the MSI board & NewEgg was kind enough to inform me that this board was a "Replace...
Yes its checked. I've unchecked & re-checked. BAH! Maybe I need to re-install it. It defaults to being checked.
Edit: Re-install fixed it. Now to see if Torrent Search Bar breaks it.
Not sure if you were referring to me, but if so. FF already supports opening the browser to a home page & already supports tabs. It seems more common sense to give the option to load the home page on new opened tabs which is the only real reason I use Tab Mix Plus.
Anyone else with Vista64...
I just got Vista64 the other day & after installing FF3 I do not get asked to remember passwords. I know its supposed to be in the bar this time as it works fine on all the XP comps here. Anyone else having this issue?
Edit: All the Adblock guys. Do you use the "Filterset G updater" as well...
Well I got realtek drivers installed but still forced to 2 channels. Guess I have to buy some regular comp speakers later. Thanks for all the help guys.
