I also finished it yesterday. The game too often lead me to a point where you think you make progress (reach somewhere) but something happens and you have to do something else. This happened so often that at the end I could not enjoy the actual ending as I was expecting something to happen...

Am I the only one seeing a lot of Dark Souls/Bloodborne parallels in the game play here? Maybe we can extrapolate from this how the boss battles will play...

Yes. The shark fins and t-wings are actually not in the proper sense of the regulations, they are an oversight. So why suffer from a mistake for so long?

As the PS4 is based on a unified memory architecture unloading something would mean to load it in request from disk, which I am pretty sure will not happen. This is very likely just frustum culling to reduce load during rendering.
