Did LBP always run in 720p? I just got the new update and for the first time noticed my 1080p TV was running in 720p mode for the game. It might be psychosamatic but the game just doesn't look as good either.
I hope it's better than the demo on the in-store displays. "Sluggish as hell to play" is the only impression I went away with after playing it for a while.
Caught this short interview with DeanoC about Heavenly Sword on Canadian show 'Electric Playground' this morning. Popped it up on YouTube for anyone interested. Short on info, long on perky interviewer!!

Dunno what Tom is smoking, but I'd really appreciate it if he'd send some my way.
If he'd like to point the finger towards a company promoting dirty or dubious tactics, then he should look no further then NV. From 'leaking' those Exluna renders this time last year and trying to pass them off...
I don't think they promised any such thing as a 'DX9 Card'. The Parhelia is obviously only a DX8 board with *some* features that are at the DX9 level, namely the Vertex Shaders.

The majority of the chat just seemed to be a PR stunt to blame their driver 'issues' on Bugs. Pretty worthless.
I beleive the statement regarding the Imageon contract may refer to the rumor that Palm will be integrating the chip into their new PalmOS 6 devices this fall.
The 8500 drivers at release were terrible under XP. They were lurching around like a drunken sailor on my system until ATI released a fix for 'systems with large amount of memory' in January '02. Performance was awesome across the board after that.
