Then begs the question....what sells more games @ 60fps or 30fps and more detail.
I personally believe it will be somewhere in between the two. Consoles have mostly always been pushing graphics over high FPS, with very few exceptions- can’t see that changing much.
if all pc games are gpu limited at 4K, then adding ray tracing on top of that will increase the load,
You have monster GPU like the 2080ti, with a massive die and cost. then you have the next gen consoles- how bloody efficient and balanced will they need to be to get close to the performance of...
Great choice on the 3900x , y
great choice, if you want to save some money how about going with a 550 mb, these are coming out soon and much cheaper than the 570.
I’d get a itx or matx setup, this set up will run much cooler than a laptop and can last you A lot longer, laptops generally don’t last as long as a well put together mini pc in a good case with good cooling.
I’m still rocking a Intel 3570k, ASUS ROG mATX mb and Nvidia mid end graphics card -...
No I don’t have written proof of it sorry, As l said software is just part of the equation that will effect price a little.
ld say another way, any company will look at the worth (from top to bottom) of any product they sell and then work out how much they can charge for it.
You’re missing the point, when the companies set a price off course they’re going to look at their product as a whole (software and hardware) before they set a price, why? because they know exactly what they have at launch or close to it ( not 6 months in advance) ...it would be completely...
People will always buy crap games. I’m talking about moving from great looking games on PS4 to what the new consoles will do. I know I’m generalising but the marketing department will look at what experience is available and then decide what they can get away with as far as asking price is...
It’s more how the first games turn out, will they show something remarkable, something of a big improvement over next gen? If they do then the price will show accordingly,
If it’s a mild improvement then price will be mild to.
I paid over $500 au to get the first ps1 imported, equivalent to over two grand in today’s money.
heck pc games back then were + $250 bucks in today’s money. how things have changed!
Sounds like they’ll both be great machines.
These consoles will be pushing boundaries like nothing before.
The...
Looks by all accounts that the ps5 case design will be very interesting indeed.
A retail version of the V case (toned down to look prettier) is what I’m expecting.
how else are they going to get the chip running at speed?
Not seeing the marketing at all, it’s all how you market something.
Simple equation, would you buy a $400 consol...
Or buy a $500 consol that was much more powerful.
$100 more for 2 - 3 times more power is always worth it in pure terms, but if the software is not designed from the ground up to take advantage of it then it’s not worth it. Why would l go to the trouble sell my ps4 to upgrade to the pro? I didn’t think it was worth the trouble. But if the games...
