It's okay. It's mostly anecdotal for me anyway so it's no where scientific.
Even if gaming media are getting more aggressive with showing the public the differences, even if they have to zoom in, it might not be enough to sway the majority if they could get almost 2 new, "next gen" games...
Makes sense.
I bet both companies are looking if the X gains traction but I guess most would say a non factor for the majority. I'm interested to see how much the X gains market if Sony gives no hints of the PS5 to wet the appetite of console targets for 12 months from now.
On a side note, I...
utilization of ray tracing games will not proceed unless we can offer ray tracing in all product ranges from LOW END to high end,”
So it can still come with the release if the next gen consoles unless they're releasing early next year? *crosses fingers*
Maybe AMD's plan is to launch HRT/ML...
Should we consider the possibility that Sony or MS could eat more initial losses for a much better next gen hardware compared to the PS4 and One but not as bad as Sony's losses with the early phases of the PS3?
PS4 estimated loss / h/w sold = few dollars.
PS3 esimated loss = 200-300 dollars...
Would you happen to have a reference with that statement of having one chip? It makes sense to me though.
Btw, is it also true that Intel also uses the same chips for desktop and laptops?
Basically just one or few designs then they just "artificially nip and tuck" for their desired...
That's a bummer. I hope there's one that could investigate if for example Ryzen 7 is the same exact ship as 5 except 5 has the SMT hardware disabled inside them through other means like firmware/software/motherboards.
Is it true that SMT affect clockspeeds? Does this apply to Ryzen?
Thanks. Can the be seen in die shots? Do you think it's just extra cache for the hardware side and/all the zen chips being capable of SMT through firmwares?

For Intel it seems there's actual physical...
Is V20 same as the MI60?
I listened to this for a bit:
So the MI60 can be used for rendering, RT and denoising. Could AMD release gaming drivers for it?
Hi. I'm fairly new to stuff like ML INT4, INT8 etc.
I read that MI60 is only 118 TOPS and 260 TOPS for Volta in INT4.
I'f I am understanding it correctly, AMD does not want to price is and would be willing to negotiate with the buyer.
How important are these TOPs?
