GeForce Hotfix Driver version 445.78

GeForce Hotfix display driver version 445.78 is based on our latest Game Ready Driver 445.75.

This Hotfix driver addresses the following:
  • Some DirectX 11 games may fail to launch when Image Sharpening is enabled from the NVIDIA Control Panel

Windows 10 64-bit DCH Driver - Click Here

Just read the release notes for 445.75 no mention of a fix for nv surround not working (maybe just turing, it worked on my gtx970) can anyone with 2 or more monitors test?
also it claims to contain the Standard NVIDIA Control Panel and the DCH NVIDIA Control Panel.

ps: Pharma is it ok if I post in this thread or do you want to keep it strictly for announcements ?

Not sure exactly what the probem is with nv surround but have you seen this video?

@pharma watched the video (about 1 min mark) when I click on the configure button (on the configure surround, physx page) the control panel disappears and I get this error in event viewer

I have 3 monitors also happens with only 2 monitors any combination
standard multi monitor non nv surround options work fine

Does if happen with one monitor?

Not sure why this is happening. I know from previous posts above you had some issues with the NV control panel.
I would do a complete NV driver uninstall and reinstall the display drivers with only one monitor connected (if you haven't tried). I would also use this as reference.

The video mentions a Custom Resolution Utility forum that supports the CRU utility in the video, and might be an important resource using the thread search.

yes allthough how would you setup surround on a single monitor ?
even if it didnt crash I imagine its disabled or does nothing what happens when you press the button ?

Wondered if the error was present using config button with single monitor. I don't use surround but have 1 monitor and 1 TV attached to display card.

Tried on my Win 7 computer with no crashes:
-- single monitor (Displayport), NV surround config greyed out.
-- attach TV (HDMI), NV surround config panel accessible and can proceed with video steps.

It worked for me on win7 (back in the day)
worked for me on windows 10 with a gtx 970 i5-2400 (2 monitors connected via dvi + 1 monitor conected to dvi via an active displayport to dvi adapter) what ever drivers were latest about 5 weeks ago.
now I have a ryzen 7 3800x rtx2070 (1 monitor connected via dvi, 1 monitor via an active displayport to dvi adapter, and 1 monitor via a hdmi to dvi cable)
rtx 2070 only has 3 outputs dvi/hdmi/dp

Lol, I'll definitely pay attention to available inputs the next time I upgrade my card. I think the 2070 Aorus has 7 inputs.

I think it might be your conversion cables but not sure. I would probably check out the CRU forum, especially posts around the time the RTX series was introduced and see if others had similar issues.

It looks like that card can only have 4 outputs active at once (not including the usb)
Yep, that's limitation by NVIDIA, they support max of 4 displays (per card)

edit: and I'm pretty sure the USB-C is counted as 1 display when used

I uninstalled my drivers with DDU and rebooted and installed 445.75 with no internet and got this

Installed the control panel from the app store now everytime I launch it I get the eula screen

Are you following some custom instructions on installing Nvidia's drivers under Windows 10? A few threads above @Ext3h and @Kaotik gave some guidance on driver installation.
Also, I think your suggestion before about starting a new thread(s) separate from the driver thread is a good idea. It should help minimize the growth of the display driver thread.

posted my surround problem on widescreen gaming redit page following the advice I got

"First thing to do is to try wiping the install with DDU in Safe Mode, reboot, clean install of the latest standard (not DCH) package"
