I hope the AMD patent for more friendly small triangles rasterizer will be inside Navi:

The funny thing is the ms dev blog mentions Nvidia and Intel but not AMD.

Going from what we understand Navi is pretty late, so I wouldn't be surprised what is and isn't in it at this point.
Might end up being a minor stop gap to their next gen architecture.
Have we actually heard any firm details, or leaks that are strong enough to be considered facts?

Maybe I'm just in a somber mood....

Intel has already announced and publicly demonstrated VRS on the upcoming Gen11. Microsoft isn't going to discuss or mention unannounced HW from AMD.
This is precisely my point.
We know more about Intel gen 11 unreleased gpu than Navi at this point!

I'm not suggesting MS puts it out there without AMD's permission about their chips.
MS could easily say expect it to be supported in our future console.
We all may know it will be AMD based, but it hasn't officially been stated as such, and they would be talking about their own product not AMD, they wouldn't even be confirming it would be in Navi. Could be a customisation.

I'm not saying it won't be in Navi, just that a patent doesn't make it a fact for me.

We're likely in the 400-500 realm if we're talking 256-bit GDDR6 as a comparison point.
But 410 GB/s is too low for next gen. They can use >500 GB/s cheap (compared to HBM2) GDDR6 chips for PS5. Why would they use a more expensive 410GB/s solution ?
