The GV100 is a multi-chip module, with the GPU die and three HBM2 memory stacks sharing a package. The card features 12 GB of HBM2 memory across a 3072-bit wide memory interface. The GPU die has been built on the 12 nm FinFET+ process by TSMC. NVIDIA TITAN V maxes out the GV100 silicon, if not its memory interface, featuring a whopping 5,120 CUDA cores, 640 Tensor cores (specialized units that accelerate neural-net building/training). The CUDA cores are spread across 80 streaming multiprocessors (64 CUDA cores per SM), spread across 6 graphics processing clusters (GPCs). The TMU count is 320.

SOOOooo, I was in the process of updating both my Titan Zs to a nice quad-setup of Titan XPs, this coming Monday ...and now this. $6000 for a pair of Titan Vs doesn't sound so bad...:nope::yep2::nope::yep2:

Well, since NV dropped tri/quad SLI support with Pascal, you just mean four cards in one rig, for like, mining purposes or somesuch, right?

Anyway, two titans for $6k, that sounds like a hell of a lot of fun just waiting to be enjoyed! Go for it! :D

(Or just wait a few months for the inevitable GV102 release with nearly as good performance for a tiny fraction of the price...)

High class escort always demands more money, but you usually get better "experience" :p

Each of them is roughly 2.5x faster than my tweaked Vega 56 for gaming, so you will be 5 years ahead of me with two of them! Nice :O

Gaming, folding, and video (rendering) production work. But I did not know they dropped Tri/Quad support on gaming. But it does make sense in some ways.
 
Why not just wait until the actual gaming Volta comes out?
 
Some early Benchmarks are out. Huge increase in performance, particularly when overclocked vs the 1080ti. Not surprising given the big increase in CUDA core count

Hopefully the fears that Ampere being refreshed Maxwell at 12nm isn't true now that there is no competition from AMD.
Nvidia is only competing with itself, so hopefully they do not further prolong our stay on Maxwell which is (apparently) Pascal at 16nm.

I want one (mostly to play with the tensor cores, but can't hurt for gaming on the side ;) ) but the shipping date for UK is Dec 30 :(

Does anyone know if it was originally available immediately in the UK/Europe and I missed it, i.e. it's effectively back ordered? Or was the availability US-only?

I believe the 30th is the first shipping / release date for the UK.

Things worthy of note: entire interposer is epoxied, unlike many of the Vega assemblies.

There's little silicon spacers in each corner above and under the HBM stacks, but no spacer inbetween the stacks themselves. Interesting.

what about the power consumption of such a 3D graphics monster? Maybe that's the cause for no sli support.

Idles around 80 watts, mostly under 400 watts for the most demanding games. I'm 101% sure, Titan V power consumption didn't get SLI/NVL nixed. The card is primarily for AI and Deep Learning purposes, but maybe in the future Nvidia will add SLI/NVL to Titan V, since the bridge ports/connectors are present on the card.
