We have very limited information, but we have just heard a quite spectacular piece of news - Nvidia already has 28nm samples of its new core.

It looks like the core is entry level, but it’s not conclusive and of course it is made in TSMC's High Metal gate 28nm process. We heard the GF1x9 as the codename, but we have to do some more digging.

The production of these actual chips won’t happen before the second half of 2011 but it is impressive to see that they already have some samples.

Globalfoundries should also be ready to get the first 28nm samples in this quarter, but we are not sure if AMD already got its silicon back. We expect this to happen soon as well.

How can it be "spectacular news" when he expects AMD to have 28nm silicon "soon as well" ?

Heck, there were stories about AMD getting 28nm silicon six months ago.

Fudzilla  Is there anything he isn't wrong about?

It can be spectacular because the sooner AMD and Nvidia have 28nm GPUs the sooner we can get a decent improvement in performance. If you want fast cheap GPUs instead of just to cheerlead for a company then it is spectacular news.
