Maybe card users and or winners will leak the specs?

I thought it clearly stated there it will be a launch event right there and then. I have already signed up to attend 4 days ago.

The launch event is 630pm to midnight in SF. People can have cards to play with and get not only the paper spec but see it in action.

There will be an "unveiling" which could mean as much or as little as Nvidia PR want to tell you.

Bah, sorry!

It does indeed say that they're launching the NV40 there, so the winners will most likely get their cards then & there.

Since you're going, what are the chances you could get one of the winners to do a little testing of his/her new card and post the results here?

IIRC, They did the same thing on the NV30 launch, but the winners didn't get their cards until significantly later...

I thought they actually promised NV30's as prices to a party before the launch, and thus the winners had to wait until it was launched, but I could be mistaken. (Couldn't find any info from a quick search)

muzz> Thanks for putting words in my mouth.
I have no idea if he's good enough to win a card or not, and he didn't say he was playing in the competition only that he was going to attend the event.
