Default PNY TI 4600

Im new to this forum and I was wondering if anyone is still using the nvidia TI 4600 128 mb still or if anyone have had any problem with it.
Mine is made by PNY and was 399.00 but now it looks like it is being phased out, dont see it for sell in most place`s.
Is the fx seires all that the hype says it is.
If I do end up getting a newer video card in the future, I was looking at the ATi 9800 pro.
But just looking for info for right now.
Thanks..

Did yours just die one day, by any chance?

That's what happened to mine...no overclocking, nothing.

Called up PNY, they're like, the "lifetime" warranty applies only if you have the freaking RECEIPT. :?

I bought a 9500 from newegg a few months ago, softmodded perfectly and OCed to 350/303.

I wasn't expecting much for extra performance(given that the Ti4600 was the top of the GF4 heap)... I have been pleasantly surprised....

If there's a lifetime warranty, doesn't the fact that you own the board show that the product exists? I mean, if it's a lifetime warranty, it doesn't matter when/where you bought it, right?

It's a lifetime warranty to the Original Purchaser. ergo, it's why they want to see the receipt. Not unusual. How many warranties are transferable? They're only trying to prevent just anyone returning a card they might have bought used.
... Guess they expect that if you spend $300+ dollars on a vid card, you'll keep the receipt. They also say on their website that Overclocking is not covered by the warranty and they do check for mods./ o/c'ing.

That's not even the worst part... I even offered to give them my credit card number and send the card in, and they refurbish it, and charge me for it... their response? "We do not offer services like that at this time." C'mon guys, you could've sent me a refurb board....
