Default increasing lenght of search results

Any chance we can increase the size of the results returned from searches? Currently only 200 characters are returned for each post. Seems a bit low any chance we can say up it to 250, or better yet 300(higher would be even better). I know its a trade off in bandwith. But currently I have to click on say 20 or 30 posts before finding what im looking for. Whereas if the posts returned (from the search) was longer than i could just quickly scan through them to find what i was looking for.

I hope I didnt make this too complicated. Just wanted to see more from each returned post. (when you have search return posts and not topics.)

later,
epic

increasing the sig lenght would also be nice. (or not count the [...] fields) About 10-30 extra characters would be great.

Increasing the sig length would be baaaaaaaad - too many people sigs around here are already annoyingly large!

Anyway, as I've explained before, I'm loath to mod the forums too much beyond their native configuration functionality as this creates issues for support. phpbb 2.2 has lots more features and lots more control so we are waiting for that to appear.

epic, just select return results as "posts" and return first to "all available".
To test, just search for post by demalion with these parameters .

I always thought a forum was about discussing, not reading signatures....
They are already too big IMO, I don't like having a signature longer/higher than the message itself.
