Just bring back all the helmets from Reach FFS.

Seems like there'll be even more. There's also the variant on the black spartan IV seen with Chief in the game cinematics, and it makes all kinds of sense to bring back all existing variants...

Agree, I also dislike the Spartan IV armours, they look too fussy and overdesigned - as if they were anime influenced or something.
They also remind me of the silly Hayabusa armour in Halo 3.

The SP armour for the Chief is great though, probably the best iteration since the original game

Yeah, they look nothing like any of the other Forerunner designs or art we've seen. The Forerunner colour scheme seems to be blues, whites, silvers and grays. Not orange and grey.

The design of the creatures is also quite different to typical Forerunner, they seem more organic and biomechanical. Perhaps they're related to the Flood somehow and are influenced by their designs.

It would be great, if you could shoot your own grenades! Think about this little ship thing which catches your grenades and after a while throws it back...would be cool to shoot at the grenade and cause maximum chaos this way.

You've been able to shoot thrown grenades since Halo 2, so I don't see why you wouldn't be able to do the same here.

Here's an example from Halo 3:

And Halo 2 (obviously harder to find because there's no theater/replay):

Oh f***!
need to improve my aim! Tried it, and decided that it is not possible as it did not explode...did not factor in my bad aiming though

Just got the idea after finishing Max PAnye 3, where you often have to shoot grenades in the air...

Yeah, it's certainly more difficult to shoot your own grenades. It's usually someone shooting another's grenades.

I'm quite certain it's one of the tactics they expect to be used for the new enemy (at least, that's what I was thinking when I saw it).

You've also been able to shoot rockets since Halo 2. One time i was fighting a guy across the map with a BR and he grabbed a rocket launcher. My burst hit his rocket just as must have exited the tube because it exploded in his face and killed him.

I think it counted as a suicide for him.

Wonder if the new enemy is able to catch a rocket too.

A rocket to face that is

From the books we know 343 guilty spark is a human spirit(brain uploaded).
What if these enemies are uploaded prisoner of war from the previous Human - forerunner war.
Because the book describe the forerunner more specific Prometheans as gigantic humanoids
being 3~4 meters in height and 800-1000 kg. And these enemies look a bit bigger then MC.
So i think they will reveal forerunners in the last 1/5 act of the campaign or forerunner based ai as bosses.

Wherever you read that I am sure that it also states that Prometheans are Forerunner and not humans.

Ugh, I really dislike the Anime influenced helmets. Rightly or wrongly, I immediately start thinking of things such as Gundam whenever I see some of them. Don't get me wrong, I love Anime Mecha, but it seems to jarringly out of place in Halo.

Well, they're user customizable multiplayer stuff. I imagine if people don't like them, they won't use them...

10 minutes of multiplayer with commentary by the MP designer. Looks great, way faster than Reach or any of the other Halo games
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=R7v3FZ_1k7s

It's really interesting how they have so many guns with similar roles now - eg they have the DMR, the Forerunner Light Rifle, the Covenant Carbine, the Battle Rifle and the pistol for mid range weapons.

EDIT:
Actually they're seem to be a whole bunch of multiplayer videos exclusive to MLG which you can check out here:

Prometheans are a sub class of the forerunner warrior caste.
Promethean is used as a adjective. Like the Promethean crawler is a Ai based guard that looks like a dog. Doesn't mean the Ai(uploaded brain) is forerunner based.

I was pretty much getting an Appleseed vibe from them as well. Especially one of these helmets reminded me of Briareos:

I also don't find their look appropriate for a Halo game, and I think Bungie knew to still away from this kind of design in previous Halo games (funnily, Bungie's own Oni game was heavily influenced by the Ghost In the Shell anime).

Bungie's Halo 3 & Reach was full of anime looking/inspired armour designs.

I personally don't mind it too much, although it does seem a little out of place in the Halo universe.

I agree.
Motocross helmets and armor is much more at home in the Halo universe.
It's also caters better to the mostly US target audience.
Maybe that is why they are slightly changing the artstyle?

New Halo 4 info spills from retailer quiz

+10 new weapons
+ 50 missions will be released per season - five missions every week for a total of 10 weeks for season one. These missions are introduced, according to the quiz, with a "high-quality! Cinematic. Season one of Spartan Ops is completely free. "How many games give you free DLC for 10 weeks?" it asks, before suggested the offer adds up to 12 hours of gameplay in either single-player or co-op multiplayer. "It's like getting two campaigns with one game!"

5 existing maps with recycled or rotating mission types? (don't know how many unique SPOPs maps are on-disc) Anyways, "50 missions" sounds like some sort of PR cheating without more details.

50 times "find an item", different in color, on the same map is 50 missions in PR language… So yes, need more detail to known.
