Default Playstation Move Games

EDIT: this list will start getting out of date probably, as I'm working together with Marcello on his iWaggle blog, where he links to this list:

https://sites.google.com/site/iwaggl...elist/gamelist

Available now:
M.A.G. public beta, available now for all MAG owners.
R.U.S.E. demo, available now for Playstation Plus owners, 1 September for all others.

Coming up:
Planet Minigolf, available at launch
echochrome 2, September 2010 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Usn6eo9FeTM
Interview with additional footage:
http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2010/...echochrome-ii/
Sports Champions™, September 2010 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3gpI_iC_55Y
Eye Pet™, September 2010 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z0_cpXVKq9E
Kung Fu Rider™, September 2010 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kVhjIwWcnA4
Start the Party! ™, September 2010 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k8FG8D-QgGM
Tumble (PSN), September 2010 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0glv0LG1cu8
This is based on another of the tech-demoes, and actually looks pretty good. I particularly like that you can play it in 3D, as this was one game where I thought 3D would be a big help.
Toy Story 3: The Video Game (Disney Interactive Studios), September 2010 (just some downloadable additional mini-games)
The Lord of the Rings: Aragorn's Quest (WB Games Inc.), September 2010
Brunswick Pro Bowling (Crave), September 2010
Resident Evil®5 Gold Edition (Capcom), September 2010
Dungeon Defenders, Winter
Time Crisis: Razing Storm (Bandai Namco), September 2010 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3OTLASzsbFQ
Contains 3 games in one (Razing Storm, Time Crisis 4 and a Zombie Pirates themed game)
Under Siege (Seed Studios) RTS , PSN release around launch.
Flight Control HD (Move launch) (port of basically the iPad version)
Soaked! (Big Ant Studios)
Ignite (Nemesys Team Studio)
Hustle Kings, October 2010 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fBPEz4jmh94
PAIN (PSN), October 2010
TV Superstars™, October 2010 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uyB6P1qbfeA
The Fight: Lights Out™, October 2010 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zERFT2RXsk0
What I've seen from the footage indicates that the game has developed to 1-to-1 motion tracking, from the gesture recognition it seemed to be doing earlier.
The Shoot™, October 2010 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=06uHTJk9dws
High Velocity Bowling (PSN) October 2010
Heavy Rain®, October 2010 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hLbI-AqDPao
Hiphop gamer is playing, but don't worry, during the actual gameplay he's just about speechless. He's playing the demo fight scene with the move, and it's definitely something else.
Sly Collection, November 2010 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W1OaTM5YoA0
Just has some added party/mini games, like slicing bamboo and stuff (very brief glimpse in this trailer)
LittleBigPlanet™ 2, November 2010. Comes with Move specific co-op levels on disc, but will get Move support added to create mode and for the direct control configurations in a later patch, apparently.
M.A.G., Zipper Interactive, 2010 (beta already live)
[B}Michael Jackson[/B]: The Experience November 2010
Beat Sketchers(PSN), September 2010. A launch game bundled in Japan that will allow people to draw on screen, with some musical effects, that can also isolate images from the webcam source like a lamp or a couch that can then be used as a stamp on screen.
Tiger Woods PGA TOUR® 11 (Electronic Arts), September 2010. Has a simulation mode that is quite realistic and supports Move http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xlCHW3nZfrI
NBA® 2K11 (2K Sports), October 2010
John Daly's ProStroke Golf (OG International), Fall 2010 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FOgdm...eature=related
Racquet Sports (Ubisoft), Fall 2010
R.U.S.E. (Ubisoft), September 2010
This is a Real-Time Strategy game. Demo already up.
SingStar® Dance, November 2010 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QdF2gLMeWZE
Deadliest Catch: Sea of Chaos™ (Crave), November 2010
Disney Tron Evolution the Video Game (Disney Interactive Studios), November 2010
Dance Dance Revolution Move, 2010
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/20...-supports-move
Buzz Music Quiz, Fall 2010?
Flower PSN (patched in), 2010?
Planet Minigolf (Zen), 2010?
not confirmed: Angry Birds, 2010? Not certain if this will be a 'proper' PS3 PSN release or if it will be a Mini that's compatible with PSP. I'm hoping/speculating though that the PS3 will get the iPad HD version with Move support, like Flight Control HD
UFC Fitness Trainer (THQ), 2010? (another article suggests 2011)
http://www.next-gen.biz/news/thq-con...elopment-cycle

2011
SOCOM 4, Spring 2010 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SkHwaXcXumo

Heroes on the Move, 2011 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rPilZPmqb6Q
Sorcery, 2011
Killzone 3, 2011
Plain Sight, 2011? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7x4MHlpQayM
Child of Eden, 2011
Ape Escape, 2011. There may be two versions coming, but it is not sure which of these will appear in Europe.
Zumba Fitness, 2011?
EA Sports Active 2, 2010 <- not actually sure though that this needs the Move controller on the PS3 or just the four bands you wear also on the Wii
Grand Slam Tennis, 2011
Motorstrom Apocalypse, Q2 2011
Create (Electronic Arts), 2011. Multi-platform title designed for making your own game that's something like an advanced form of Rube Goldberg machines.

53 in total

PS Eye only:
Kung Fu LIVE (Virtual Air Guitar Company), October 2010
Gran Turismo 5 (Polyphony Digital), November 2010

2 in total

Simple, original idea, but Move looks redundant. You want the light source to remain static when you've found the correct position, and given it's just rotating about an axis, thumbsticks are going to be more useful than the wand.

I'm pretty sure my wife is more likely to play it with the Move controller though.

I'm adding videos to all the titles ... I found a great video of how much better the Move controller is for Heavy Rain's fight scene ...

Yeah, they could never have added Move controls so fast otherwise I think. Though I did think I heard something about that they had a few things in there like having one-to-one controls to balance a cup of coffee properly without spilling. But I'm not sure if I heard that right. Anyway, I held off playing this game and I definitely look forward playing this with Move controls, because as you say, it really does seem that much more involving than turning your analog stick or something similar.

And even so ... 'obviously short of the mark' seems a bit of a strong wording ... it does really work rather well, and much more involving and natural than anything you do with the controller.

Can you imagine doing some of the finishing moves in God of War 3 this way?

I've added footage for just about any game that I could find something for now.

Anyone know which games require two motion controllers? I think I'm gonna grab the 99 bundle and a sub controller, but I'm debating whether I should get another motion controller or not.

edit: For you Canucks out there, Best Buy Canada has their online Canada Day sale on right now (ends in 35hrs) where you get 20% off video game accessories and all PS Move items / bundles count (except the console bundle). The discounts will be applied when you add the items to your cart.

Picked up the $99 bundle and a sub controller for $114 CAD taxes in.

http://www.siliconera.com/2010/07/01...playstation-3/

Quote:
At Tokyo Game Show, Sony Computer Entertainment Japan listed an Ape Escape game for PlayStation Move. It wasn’t at E3, so we got in touch with Ape Club, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe’s Ape Escape hub, to find out what happened to the game.

...

The PlayStation Move team says Ape Escape is one of the best games for Move. What makes this title standout?

Well as we mentioned, they told us that "Japan Studio’s" version Ape Escape 4 was the best yet, making great use of the controller, as well as interesting game-play. But recently, JS have mentioned that the Move-Factor might be removed from the game as it’s very "tiring" to use the gadgets.

Can you play it without PlayStation Move?

Well, just like the first, Sony want to introduce people to the Move controller without a choice (just like the Dualshock controller). So Ape Escape is like Sony’s secret weapon. If people don’t like the new controller, they use Ape Escape as a way to show how enjoyable it can be.

...
I don't quite get what the Q&A is trying to say. So The Move team thinks Ape Escape 4 is one of the best Move games. But Japan Studio is thinking about removing Move support because it takes too much energy to play ? And yet the game only supports Move ?

Keep in mind that this is an interview with people once running the official fansite, but currently no more. A lot of speculation in other words.

For Japan...

PlayStation Move Bundled With RE5: Gold Edition And Time Crisis: Razing Storm:
http://www.siliconera.com/2010/07/05...torm-in-japan/

Quote:
Sony is preparing three PlayStation Move bundles in Japan. In addition to the previously mentioned Sing & Draw starter pack, Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition and Time Crisis: Razing Storm bundles are in the works.

I have not pre-ordered Move yet because I want to know which games get bundled. Will probably buy 2 sets (hence, 2 different bundles would be good ).

Hmmm, not sure that's Ape Escape. Could be an Ape Escape themed mini-game, as part of one of the Move Party games.

EDIT

Correction, it probably is Ape Escape, or Furi Furi! Sarugetchu, TBD 2010 release.

Andriasang.com has a list of games shown in that video:
http://www.andriasang.com/e/blog/201..._move_trailer/

Quote:
Beat Sketch
Big 3 Gun Shooting
EyePet
Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition
The Shoot
Echochrome
Tower
Sports Champion
Kung Fu Rider
Nikudan
High Velocity Bowling
Ape Escape
Move de Party
TV Superstars

...
PS Move will see release on October 21. Currently confirmed for launch are EyePet, Sports Champion, Beat Sketch, High Velocity Bowling, Kung Fu Rider and Big 3 Gun Shooting. Resident Evil Gold Edition will also be PS Move-ready from day one via a free software update.
The Japan promo video is on Youtube:

I think they may achieve better effect by letting the games do the talking. Instead of saying EyePet provides family fun, show the "mind-blowing" EyePet features instead. The overview video should be flanked by other supporting videos. The "sense of fun" is missing in this video. It feels like an insurance company or healthcare advertisement.

Sony should implement a build your own bundle sort of deal where you can pick from a list of move items and get a discount applied to everything. I'd like to get two move sticks, PSeye a nav controller and a game.

Only if RE5 allows me to play with a casual player, rather than me using the Move controller alone.

It would be like a retailer giving you a discount coupon.

R.U.S.E. support for Move confirmed, demoed:

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/r-...port-confirmed

Quote:
Using the Move device as a pointer, players can select units, build structures and pan the camera.

Selecting an area on the map and pointing the controller down zooms the camera in. Pointing upwards moves the camera out. A flick to the right brings up a menu on the left hand side of the screen. Another flick takes you out of the menu.

Senior producer Mathieu Girard told Eurogamer that developer Eugen Systems and publisher Ubisoft only started integrating Sony's tech into the game "four or five weeks" ago.

All joking aside. It's REALLY nice to see Sony is apparently behind this 100%. I get a feeling of commitment to a product that I didn't see or feel when they released the eyetoy and PSeye. Heck I never felt Sony were as commited to their original PS3 controller (name escapes me at the moment :P the one with tilt and whatnot) as they are right now with the Move.

That was the SixAxis, and I recall a similar hoopla, pre-launch, with endearing remarks from developers about fast implementation, high precision, accessibility, etc. Not saying this will suffer the same fate in terms of adoption and utilization in games from gamers. Hard to say. I think, initially, marketing will be absolutely critical (as I guess it always is for the success of any product).

The most important difference I think, is that the Move is an example of a lesson learnt by Sony from the PS3 hardware development, as explained by Shuhei Yoshida here:

Quote:
This studio-collaborative philosophy at Sony has remained in place ever since, and was a core pillar of the design ideology for Sony’s new motion controller, PlayStation Move.
“I’m spending more time on the hardware platform,” Yoshida added, “connecting hardware guys to developers. That’s my major role now, and Move is one of those new ways of developing platforms.”

IMHO, the most important difference is that Nintendo has proven the basic model. The WII style motion gaming is better in terms of usability, working control schemes, and versatility. It is a system as opposed to the SIXAXIS hardware alone.

Found this.

Quote:
SAN FRANCISCO– July 8, 2010 – Today Ubisoft® announced that Racquet Sports, the multisport game that includes tennis, ping-pong, badminton, squash and beach tennis, is coming to the PlayStation®3 system with PlayStation®Move support in Fall 2010 in North America. Racquet Sports delivers an engaging and interactive experience for experts and newcomers. Racquet Sports offers unprecedented realism and pinpoint gameplay mechanics, bringing every serve, swing and backhand to life while replicating the sporting experience in the comfort of the living room.

Racquet Sports engages players in 30 rich graphical environments in iconic locations inspired by real-world landmarks, including the beach of Copacabana, the foot of Mount Fuji and the skyline of Dubai. The playing fields come to life with animated backgrounds, dynamic sound mixes and day and night environments. Players have the option to perform with eleven different athletes, each having a distinct personality and flair. Each athlete is customizable with a total of over 30 outfits, 30 hairstyles and 15 different racquets available in the game.

The multiplayer feature in Racquet Sports allows up to four players to play together cooperatively or to compete against each other. Racquet Sports and the PlayStation Move motion controller combine highly precise and intuitive motion control with the full PlayStation 3 system HD gaming experience to create the most accurate, responsive and ultra-sensory gaming experience that will allow players to pull the game out of the TV and into the living room.
It is a game ported from the Wii, but a pretty new one.
http://racquetsportsgame.us.ubi.com/
The original Wii game actually supports a camera to track the player, it also supports Wii motion+.

edit: just found that it was included in Arwins list, don´t know how I could miss it.
While reading through the list I cannot see Dead Space Extraction, is that one missing?
