I liked it too. I just can't for the life of me remember what it was about - really I can't remember anything specific about it at all. That's weird for an RPG, for me.

What? Don't go without a torch? Tram general raam? (thank you I'll be here all day) Awesome Aliens-like-reach-LV-426-colony (entrance to the mines). Berseker in the botanic garden? Next time, you guys should play with your eyes open.

Anyway, about Fable, all I know about them is from the Zero Punctuation reviews.

They can count me out after the horrible Fable 2.
I did enjoy the first one a lot though

hum.... think I`ll wait for PC tech feedback before buying the game at all. I`m sure it`ll be fine on console, but if the port isn`t buggy or shoddy then I`d like to have the higher res and AA.

I watched my roommate play Fable 2 on his 360. There are professions you can do to make money; he was a blacksmith and you have to tap A in sync with a little ball going back and forth to fill up a meter. Problem was, the damn framerate was all over the place, making the whole thing an exercise in frustration. Even he who doesn't give a hoot about framerates or resolutions was ready to chuck his controller out the window.

I played fable 2 on a 360 and while there obvious frame rate drops, it didn't affect game play, I had no issue getting rich tapping buttons.

Were you a blacksmith? That's the only profession I tried and I thought his Xbox was broken or something but it did the same thing on mine.

I certainly had no problems with the professions. I was rich and... something something something...

Nice to see MS actually releasing a PC game again. However, I'm still extremely bitter about MS getting rid of the Ensemble and Flight Simulator teams. Pure heresy of the highest I say!

It's a watered down Fable. Was nice, but too few customizations, too few armor pieces, too few weapons, etc...

Looking forward to this. Wish Fable 2 would come to PC. Played the first one on both X360 (short version) and later PC (awesome extended version). Never got around to Fable 2 on the X360 though.

Maybe hell will freeze over and they'll release Fable 2 on PC before Fable 3.

Regards,
SB

Noob question...these PC games that are Xbox Live aware like Fable 3, and need a code entered to work with Live. If they are bought at retail, is it possible to sell them when one gets bored, or will they not work on any other Live account because that code was already entered? In other words, once I install that PC game and mate it to XBLive with that code, is the game basically now unsellable?

hm... good question. I'm running Gears of War PC using a friend's copy of the game, and it seems ok with me using the CD Key with my own Live Account (he used to log in with his own Live Account). One still needs the disc to launch the title anyway, so I think it should be ok.

I saw the same issue too... bugged me, but I tried all the jobs they had. Wood cutting was alright, but IIRC, bar tending was the fastest way to make money.

There are two types of G4WL games. The original ones's key is only good for 15 activations. It doesn't matter how many accounts you use the key on, once the 15 times are up you have to call MS and request a new key and they'll only issue a replacement once. The replacement key is also only good for 15 more installs.

Some more recent games like Dirt and Section 8 are SSA games (Server-side authentication) which means the key is bound to your account like Steam and you can't sell the game (key) later on. I'd much prefer if all the games were SSA since I don't sell my games anyway. Limited activation/installs rubs me the wrong way and MS never really comunicated this fact.

Another thing to note is that the non SSA games use a universal key. ie. you can use one key to activate 15 non-SSA game in total using that. This means if you buy GTA4 then that GFWL key will work on Street Fighter 4,RE5,Red Faction,Batman:AA,Bioshock 2,Gears 1,Fallout 3 etc etc.

The difference is, you'll need a no DVD fix/crack to run the games which you don't own since you wont have the DVD needed to pass the securom check...once you do that there is practically zero difference between a legit copy & the pirated copy. Its funny & sad at the same time.

Ah ok thx. So are all new PC Live games SSA I presume? If so then that definitely puts a damper on things

PC versions release date has been delayed for unconfirmed time vs 360 version.

Also some vinegar for that toast.
