As do I. Had a few rounds today.

For further 'calibration' here is that very same map recorded by someone who doesn't make trailers for a living. Aside from the lack of cinematic camera movement, and the fact that the demo recorder wasn't given a very high priority setting on the server (led to some jerky movements on playback, especially in slo-mo scenes) it looks close enough:

The only fake thing I can notice in that trailer is an extra sound effect when the planes are going by.

Supposedly, according to PBF, a full Operation: Guillotine trailer is expected, sometime today.

Supposedly the Beta starts next week and in my latest Origin update it says that BF3 preorders have a 48 hour headstart on the Beta

This makes no sense. Battlefield is a multiplayer game, so why would Live be the thing that prevents you from getting it?

I've primarily been a PC gamer through all my years, and I simply don't see anything in Live gold that justifies its pay to play cost

Oh, I can completely understand that from a PC Gamer's perspective. Though it seemed like maybe he was a console gamer too from his statement of being ready to pick it up for the XB360. Anyways, I wont get into the effective additional taxes/charges PC and Console gamers pay in order to play or which one costs more overall for fear of taking this thread way off topic.

If more games were as polished as BF3 looks to be, then PC gaming would greatly benefit.

Very nice! Yeah I just built two machines for friends in the last two months and I was surprised how much you can get quite inexpensively these days. Both machines were around $1000 and made very few compromises...

I'm impressed that you got a GTX 580 and SSD into that price point though. Must be somewhat less sales taxe where you are than here (12%) to have made that work
