Yeah, that's the blur filter. Keep in mind the angles as well... they're not exactly the same.
And you'll notice in the shots I linked, that the cables aren't even connected in the background. It's a lot more noticeable as you walk towards it. Eventually you do get close enough that the sub-pixel issue isn't a problem.

Indeed it's one thing to add super high res and supersampling to bullshots but people kinda notice things as obvious as adding grass which isn't there.

There is the button of ps3 version & tree foliage it isn't blurried....

but the assuption is that this is old PS3 code, so who knows what the final PS3 code looks like...foliage could be blurry and grass could be included

I think I'm free to have a different opinion no? However videogameplay about exclusive dlc on the ps3:

The grass it isn't even here, but I'm worried more about the completely lack of clothes physic and blood too ... the ps3 really have a lot of cut for now...

I noticed id Software's Brian Harris posted on Teh Shack that Rage is running at 720p on the consoles when the question came up. I don't think we have a definitive console screenshot though.

Anyone look into HAWX2 demo yet? I'm curious if they did the crappy blur on PS3 again on this one, or maybe they used something smarter that could be incorporated in a day (for some games at least)?

well the biggest change is the framerate has been dropped to 30fps.
