There's a pretty ridiculous blur there, but I'm getting 585 for the height... Need to recheck later when I get more time.

Yeah, I was checking the PS3 shot since there are so few "good" edges here. Guess we'll have to wait for better shots.

Problem with this game may also be the motion blur it has?

No, it's animation/movement based motion blur as far as I know, but it does seem to affect everything to some extent and neither the camera nor the characters are ever standing completely still at any time. So I was just wondering if that had an effect. There are demos online somewhere, I'll see.

Thanks for the reply.
Did you guys check the other screenshots in the link posted below the picture? They might give you a better idea of what is going on with the res.

The arcade version of the updated Bloodline Rebellion was sub-HD compared to the original version, so it should be interesting to see if the home versions were improved at all. Especially the PS3 one since the arcade version used the same hardware. Btw, what the vertical resolution of the some of the stuff mentioned? (585 and 768) |

Maybe I spoke too soon in assuming that BR was sub-HD and I could've been thrown off by the motion blur. The frame rate was consistent too. On a side note, going by the E3 impressions, SD Tekken noted that a momentary dip in the frame rate in the arcade version (when the floor is destroyed and you switch arenas) were absent in the 360 build but intact in the PS3 one. |

what about this
http://www.gamereactor.se/media/19/t...en_191957b.jpg King seems to be smoother on PS3, especially the tail, but could be because its in a slightly different angle. |

They both look just about the same horrible, if these even are the two console versions....i don't see any indication of which is which.
I don't understand, why couldn't they just use the soul calibur4 engine? .....the models, hair and detail was over all better in that game.

That's certainly interesting. I would've figured both would share the same res and only the 360 would have 2X MSAA.
As long as there isn't any double scaling like SCIV, it's all good. The game looks really great in motion. |

thought the earlier analysis for Bloodline Rebellion for the arcade was 1024X768 like MGS4 before they even show any 360 media. Could it be that they rather go with a smoother graphics than a sharper IQ for PS3? Guess we have to see both in motion to see the quality especially the motion blur.

Maybe they need the MSAA because of the object based motion blur?

Has anyone ascertained the AA setup in Forza 3 yet? Is gameplay still 720p 2xMSAA or have they bumped it up to 4x?

You do not do things like post processing 'in' the edram, you resolve the image to main memory and use it as source texture for the blur.
