Midway has released The Suffering, allowing you to enjoy the PC version of this horror game developed by Surreal Software for free. Gamers take on the role of Torque, an inmate who must face much more than his own inner demons and the harsh and gritty reality of death row, as he fights to escape the unleashing of the penitentiary's gruesome secrets in a challenge more terrifying than fighting death itself. The Suffering features ultra-mature content and three distinctly different endings depending upon how you choose to survive. As far as I remember, it's really a great game (review) - I recommend you to download! I agree with npl regarding blood omen.
"Vampires are super strong, turn into mist and bats and wolves, drink people's blood, are totally immune to bullets and swords, and can get it on with any chick they want because of their hypnotic eyes. Now imagine for a minute the dozens of kickass games you could make featuring any one of those powers. Crystal Dynamics instead chose to ignore all these powers and make a game that revolves around the ability of vampires to point out how ironic their situation is every two minutes." |

Uh...wow. These are all free?! I've been wanting to play the Hitman series in its entirety for quite some time, this way I can play the first two for free, play the 3rd from my copy, and have the 4th by the time I'm done with that.

Dont exclude a game just because it is ad supported, i downloaded psi-ops and what happens is when i run the game is I get a 10 second movie trailer first and the same trailer plays when i exit the game, no hardship really (havnt tried it when my internet is disabled)

Betrayal at Krondor. No ads and still the best game ever released!
 edit: Plays in current computers perfectly fine with the help of VDMSound.
