Well, it's been getting some really good word-of-mouth, I imagine that's why. Eidos has gone on record that they expect a mid-90 score on Metacritic.

I look forward to checking it out, I really do. The previews got me pumped without being too over-hyping, another good sign.

I just pre-ordered with Amazon for $47. I hope the reviews are good, the videos so far look great.

Looks like it's $52 right now. Is there some special $5 discount beyond that?

Ya, CAG has a code, but I can't get it from work. If you can't find it I will get it after work.

Default voice acting quality?

Not to sound like too dank of a rag but I certainly hope the voice acting is not as horrible in the final version of this game as it is in that demo linked previously.

Code: 5OFFARKM

BTW, I found these photos of the Collector's Edition there...

Man, I'm stoked! Can't wait!

For those haven't ordered yet, looks like you save some mucho dinero by going with Amazon. Some people have gotten the CE for less than $50!

Too bad there isn't a CE for the PC version.

Voice acting & scripting was done by famed animator Paul Dini. All the original cast from Batman: The Animated Series are the doing the voice acting. So you get Kevin Conroy, Mark Hamill, Efrem Zimbalist, Richard Moll, Arleen Sorkin, Ron Perlman, Paul Williams, & host of other people. The production value should be over the top. Basically it's a grown-up version of BTAS.

Well, with Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill, it couldn't get much better!

Disappointing sales. Many PC special editions ended up sitting on shelves for months on end. There's even been a few I've seen where the special limited editions were still available over a year after release.

Not seeing one listed on Gamestop/Amazon/Gogamer, etc. Sucks.

Looks like PC Collector's Edition is UK/Europe only...

Maybe you could import it?

Saw this at Blue's news:

Yes, what a great idea: less than a month away from release date and probably less than a week before going gold and having to press some discs they decide to delay for a month to add something that a) could perfectly have been in a patch and b) the engine already has. Eidos must think people are idiots.

No word on if the PC demo will be delayed also.

PhysX Capers.

Weird though. UE3.0 should already have PhysX integrated...

Downloading the demo from EU pSN ! I hope it lets you play as you want and doesn't rely too much on context sensitive controls!

There's probably a decent side-benefit of avoiding Day Zero piracy.

That's not a side-benefit. That's the main reason for the delay, Eidos is just trying to have us look the other way.

Just played the PS3 demo (didn't finished it, played until the machine gun guys). The game looks actually very good, definitely makes the most of the Unreal Engine in terms of clever use of art and very clean. Nothing like what the screenshot above made me believe.

The detective mode is great, looks very good. There's lots of voice, and it introduces characters very well. This is not the kind of Batman I am into (i.e. the cartoon kind that reminds a lot of the cartoon Hulk etc.) but the game is very well done, and I think it will do very well, especially in the U.S. ... Whoever was in charge of the art-direction here did an awesome job.
