Crysis pics from one custom map and the character ones are on the Crysis singleplayer "Tank" level with my TOD mod.

At the moment he hasn't released anything and I'm not sure he will. He seems to be selling prints and plans to release an 'ingame trailer' sometime soon, but whether or not we will see anything playable is hard to say.

I asked him about it and his response was that so far it was "just for demonstration" and that he may consider releasing a playable 'deathmatch' version some time in the future.

Basically, he can make money off the prints and he doesn't want anyone touching his precious work so, like many artists, is going to keep it to himself. Bit sad really.

Bokeh custom shader by Sebastian from Crymod. High perfomance cost but it has sampling rate of 141 which is mildly saying insane.

Testing it below with excessive DOF strength just to highlight bokeh effect. Scene upwards 2400 particles. Also it might bug out from time to time or depending on scene due to insane sample rate. Full hexagonal pattern version used.

I wish he would release a version so I can just walk around and look at stuff. It really does look amazing.

Some more. Ingoring that they are super-sampled it runs at around 35fps at 1680x900 res with 200 butterflies. However with the below amount of butterflies it runs at 12fps since there are 3000 butterflies!

Not to be a bother, but did you have any luck sussing out a possible fix for the dysfunctional downsampling on LCD's? I've tried a few more random things as of last night, but still no luck.

I can't understand what's wrong. maybe it's a VGA-only thing? That's all I can think off... My CRT's were VGA (DVI->VGA technically since my videocard only does DVI), and now I'm on DVI->HDMI.

Perhaps it won't work with digital connections? If so, that's a bit sad.

It works for me on my 1440x900 LCD with a DVI connection. Dunno if it makes any difference, but I've only tried DX10 mode.

Crysis user map "Niveus" which is the medieval map with the castle and village. I added my own TOD and customised vegetation/clutter layout. The butterflies screenshots are from one of the "GDC06" maps with my own TOD and I customised vegetation/clutter layout.

Not really found anything solid regarding issue. My monitor is connected with DVI and is 60Hz for all resolutions. Also make sure to run game in fullscreen as in windowed mode it wont work and neither with editor. Also make sure Crysis recognises your monitors resolutions correctly by checking menu. Also after launching Crysis press ctrl+alt+del and then 'abort' to get back to Crysis becouse that fixes res sync issues with game and ATI HW.

Oh yes I have Niveus. Didn't recognize it with your additions though.

I am still tweaking layout on them but when I am done I'll pass both maps to you.

Interesting. So you use an LCD on DVI and it works just fine for you? I had a thought just a moment ago... My monitor has an option in the OSD to use DDC/CI (at least, I think it was /CI, might have been something else), anyway, I might try disabling that and seeing what it does. Also, I remember that I have GPU scaling enabled - I wonder if that could cause some problems?

All good, that's a few more things to investigate and if they don't work, even then it might give me some kind of an idea as to what to check out next

Shivering Isles in Oblivion is one of the most crazy colorful beautiful places ever, 3 years going strong. I've heard that there's a sunshaft mod for Oblivion that would make it much more brilliant, but I can't seem to find it..

Check out www.tesnexus.com which has most if not all mods for Oblivion and expansions. There is also an SSAO mod for the game and probably much more.

Yep. Found it:

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=30054

Quite a pain to get set up (requires other mods and tinkering) but when it does work it looks fantastic. Includes two varieties of SSAO (I'm using the performance version- get 15fps with the other one), Borderlands style black edges, edge AA, godrays, depth of field and a bunch of other filters (all toggable and tweakable). Some experimentation here:
