Why is it that when using a high resolution (such as 1600x1200) the mouse input lags even though the framerate is acceptable?
For example, when running UT2003 at 1600x1200, input becomes very laggy even though "stat fps" reports the framerate to be some 50fps. This seems to happen in a lot of games, even though it is especially bad in UT2003. I know UT2003 has an option called "reduce mouse lag" that does indeed alleviate the problem, but still, why is this happening? Thanks for any input. /kars System: amd athlon 3000+ (or somesuch) GF4Ti (det. 43.51 whql) logitech mx500 (9.76) |

Micron: a Ti4400 overclocked to Ti4600 level.
CosmoK: That helped a bit, thanks. Do you lose performance by using prerender=0? And why would mouse input be affected by high resolutions in the first place? |
