I would not do that if I were you - F@H can cause problems on certain machines and applications. A poorly built machine or one with slight memory errors would end up bluescreening a lot. I use F@H when testing custom PC's to see if they will complete one folding unit and if there are memory problems usually they will eventually quit F@H or BSOD.

Having an intermittent problem on a PC and not realising you are running some software which uses 100% CPU idle time is a mistake and a recipe for potential disaster if the person using it doesn't realise.

Another week and there will be a new lead dog on the sled team, and Joe will have to enjoy the never-changing view of being #2. . .

Feh. He's bluffing. I heard Joe is running his FAH on a Cyrix. An *old* Cyrix. Or was it a Transmeta engineering sample of their original? Something like that.

I just looked at there are only 3 teams (out of 109) ahead of us that we're gaining on.

It seems we're sputtering.

Is running F@H on multiple PCs as simple as installing the client on each and just inputting the same username + teamnumber?

Assuming that's the case I've gotten back on board with an XP@2GHz, Sempron 2400+ and Athlon 1.2GHz. The latter is an HTPC running 24/7 but it's *so* slow compared to the other two.

Just type in your old details and it will add any new work done to that ID.

Same thing happened to me: almost all the machines I was using were stopped. One of the reasons in my case is that the F@H client seems to hang some computers, quite annoying. Anyone's got feedback on that? If resolved I could boost B3D's daily output because I could use more machines.

In other news, I am very, very, very close to gaining the third place, and it seems it'll be a while before Sage can do anything about it. But I think I'll be running on a Venice core long before I can even start to bother Joe

No, but both will run slower as CPU will be shared. Why don't you discard Seti and go whole hog with FAH. Welcome BTW.
