I was thinking when he got more players then we should hold some comps for games like Counter Strike , BF2 , Quake War , UT2K4 ...ect

Winner would get player of Player of Week status : )

So what happened to the B3D group? Do we need to start up a new one?

EDIT: Recreated. Same link. It's public so anybody can join.

For anybody who wants to join, the group is open so no action is required on my part. Just go here, login to your steam account, and join. This can also be done through the steam client (community tab -> search for beyond3d -> join).

Anybody who wants to add me as a friend is welcome too. If we get enough members we may be able to setup some TF2 or Quake Wars games (hopefully).

BTW you sure play an ass load of TF2 xatnys. And here I thought I played a lot...

Hmm. Awfully sparse so far. Weren't there quite a few PC TF2 players on b3d?

Yeah, this is probably why the group was non existent when I tried looking it up. You'd think a site largely about PC 3D technology would have a lush peripheral gaming community but the discussion and participation is really quite sparse. Heck the console forums are on fire compared to the PC forum. I don't get it

It might help to bring up activity by doing what you're doing with Audiosurf (the song competitions and stuff) with other games like TF2. Seriously though, I thought more B3D goers played TF2. This group could be much larger, I believe.

I can't find this group in the browse. How can I join?

Edit: I had to search for one of your player names and then browse your groups. Weird.

Glad you found it. The link in the first post still works for others looking to join.

Yeah, I could click that link and see the group details in firefox, but if I did a search for the group name in steam I didn't get any results. I don't know if there's a way to cut and paste that link into steam or not. What I ended up doing was searching for one of the userids listed on that link within' steam, and then found the group by browsing the user details.

If anyone has the same problem as me.

Everyone is an admin so everyone can schedule events and suchlike, as it says in the description.
Created an event for Thursday for those of us wanting to enjoy the Beta together.

Now just to finish that model loader and scene graph so I can spend the weekend doing nothing but BFBC2....
